  1. No question we're going down with this squad and manager.
  2. Hopefully the fifth will be a mass celebration.
  3. Indeed. Like dying is a symptom of being shot.
  4. Not really. He never picked himself as captain did he? His rapid and sudden decline started when the story about him wanting to go back home emerged. He wasn't himself prior to that, but he wasn't the complete train wreck he is now. Having said that, if he had been turning in these performances in a team that functioned with a purpose and direction, and Colo had been the weak link, I'd agree totally. No one out there, apart from Krul probably, has a clue what they are supposed to be doing. No one! EDIT: I totally agree regarding the captaincy issue that he should lead from the front, but it's clearly not his thing. Pardew should recognize this and take it off him and hand it to someone who understands the responsibility that comes with it! Oh right. None of the players 'pick' their responsibilities so we can just absolve them all.
  5. He's the captain and the senior CB. You could easily argue that of all the players, he's the one who totally fails to do his job most regularly.
  6. The senior players are on Pardew's side. Probably because any real manager would look at most of them and laugh at the utter fucking putridity of them as footballers.
  7. I think so, yes. I've never seen anyone strike a football better for us, and as frequently to the team's huge benefit. Robert naturally had absolutely everything I'd want from a winger and more.

I've said this before but what role would he play with a striker next to him? He's neither a finisher nor a creator.
  9. as i replied to you yesterday i'm still not convinced he would as he'd never get his british backbone with us Did I not just allude to that, mate?
  10. Gullit too. Though I'm pretty sure Roeder took money, whereas Rudd didn't.
  11. Moyes would be ideal if he was prepared to be paid peanuts and be given any old random rubbish in the transfer market.
  12. Robert left under Souness, but I agree in spirit.
  13. I don't want to defend the bloke one bit because he sets us up all wrong and clearly can't motivate the players, but a lot of 'us' for a long time have been in utter denial about just how bad our defenders are. Coloccini, Williamson and Haidara (at this extremely raw stage of his career) wouldn't get into many if any PL teams.
  14. Ashley would sack him. Whether it'd be too late to stop us from going down or not is another matter.

When one page represents a (utterly horrific) 2-year gap I'd say that one's pretty fucking obvious, like.
  16. The manager and captain are two of the biggest cowards ever to be associated with the club and it's permeated.

He can't be completely judged on his performances under Pardew but it's pie in the sky hoping he'll turn out to be the PL striker we need.
  18. By that standard they've been trying to throw most of our games since late 2012.
  19. I'd forgotten about Rodgers' unique brand of 'correct' football. ie 90 minutes of aimless hoofs and long shots. Oh, and Rickie Lambert.
  20. As if Balotelli maybe getting 12 goals a season is going to come close to replacing Suarez.
