He's not even vaguely looked like a natural defender in any of his PL starts. It's selective criticism based on nationality and reputation.

I think Dummett's a poor footballer and a pretty solid defender who unreasonably gets far more criticism than players who are costing us goals every week because he's an easier target. It's pathetic, to be honest.

Dummett's a defender who can generally defend. Haidara will become a player in time but I have doubts it'll be at LB. Can't see him ever being better than Santon, either.

I can only assume those wanting Haidara in the defence want us to concede goals, which currently I'm fully in favour of.

Was pretty gutting, like. He looked a really pacey, intelligent player against Man U, then absolutely fucked himself in the next game. He still looked a really clinical finisher after that injury, mind, Should've got loads more game time than he did.
