  1. That he's that out of shape, i really don't see it. All i see is a player who isn't picked because the manager's ego didn't like his failing as a manager being pointed out. Hatem is no different to last season, played well dropped. Given 20 minutes blamed for defeats. Just rank bad treatment. Of course it is. He shouldn't be coming back from summer overweight, though. He's a naturally small framed, wiry lad. He's hurting his chances of going to another club and escaping this awful situation he's in with Pardew.

This. I did think it was a bit silly for him to put it on when I first seen it - but it's hardly meant to offend anyone.
  3. What are you actually disagreeing with Bimp?
  4. To me, our signings so far this summer scream that we'll be trying for Carroll or a Carroll type as our main forward.
  5. Nobody worth listening to is backing Pardew over him. Pardew is a terrible manager and Hatem doesn't care about his career anywhere near as much as he should. Both are open to criticism.
  6. It clearly isn't, because by your own admission there are players who've been treated worse who've acted far more like athletes should.
  7. Ironically, the only one that is a true 'upgrade' on the previous incumbents is actually Colback, who is better than Gosling. Cabaye > De Jong HBA > Cabella Debuchy > Janmaat Remy >>>>> Riviere Based on bias.
  8. 1st. i do not expect to see area starting for us again. 2nd. I could see it work with for example tiote and sissoko protecting the defends. 3. thats our best defends. How would you like to have it? 3. It isn't. It's utter shite.
  9. I don't even think playing 7 in midfield could protect that defence, like
  10. Think we were far, far more boring just before signing Sissoko and Debuchy, like. The first of that season we were absolutely fucking abject.

That's actually the best picture of Sunderland I've ever seen.

In an ideal world we buy decent players who don't perform under Pardew. Nowhere to hide then.
  13. You're not certain at all. You assume this to be the case, just like you assume that Besiktas (out of these imaginative options) was the club that offered him the highest wages. Based on these two complete and utter assumptions you then go and criticise him, throwing such ludicrous concepts as his legacy or his lack of desire to win trophies into the mixer. And what do you end up with after all that? A cocktail of stinking f***ing Ronaldo assumption s**** with more than a hint of hypocrisy. Well done sir. Repressed rage at its finest. You should just move in with Michael Barrymore and get it over with, mate.
  14. To reiterate, I'm certain that Demba Ba had better options available to him than Besiktas. He's a good striker of a pretty rare type who's played the best football of his career in the best league in the world in the last 3 seasons.
  15. Our order should be: Sissoko, Anita, Tiote, Colback, Abeid, Bigi Our order probably is: Sissoko*, Tiote, Colback, Anita, Abeid, Bigi If Sissoko isn't flogged to right wing or sold.
  16. No set of fans will remember him. He's gone from one club to the other based on financial incentive. The only laughable thing is the idea that Ba has gone to the 3rd best side in Turkey for anything other than a few extra quid in his pocket at the expense of his career.
  17. It's sad, like. I know they've been brought up with nothing and thus lean towards making as much as possible in their footballing window but all of them could have good careers in proper leagues at clubs with fans who'd revere them. Think we under-rate those leagues tbf. They are hardly Scotland. They regularly put in decent shifts in Euro comps in those divisions. Win trophies. I don't see why playing for Aston Villa is a better look. Because it's not. And nobody said it was. It's a just convenient and lazy assumptive counterargument.
  18. Nobody said he should confine himself to England, either. I know your knowledge of European football isn't the best but you're more naïve than I thought if you think the best option for Demba Ba at 29 is to play for the 3rd biggest side in Turkey, man. Wake up.
  19. See, again, who said he should be playing for a mid-table PL side?
  20. How so? Because again he's going where the most money is. A player with all that talent and in 10 years nobody will remember him. But his family and friends will all be taken care of. and at the end of the day that's all that matters. They be taken care of on 50K a week, too. Maximise income - better living standards. something practically everyone strives for in modern society. Motivation varies per person as well of course, Maybe Demba couldn't give a crap about being "remembered" Or winning stuff. I just f***ing hate that mentality. Aye, he'd have a better chance of being remembered or winning stuff staying at Newcastle than going to Chelsea or Besiktas, who challenge for cups, titles and European football.. Where the f*** did I say Demba Ba should come back to Newcastle? Where the fuck did I infer you did? At this point in his career Demba Ba must have far better options than the Turkish league from everything other than a financial perspective. That's all I'm saying. If you and Flip and the rest of the backpackers want to turn that into a 'Ronaldo thinks everyone should want to play for Newcastle' angle, that's fine. Really quite idiotic, but I'll live with it.

  22. Fucking HTT with his Merc that does 6 mpg.
  23. He doesn't have the 'sniff of goal' attitude/ability if you like to be as prolific in that role nor would he settle to basically being a specific type player. He likes to roam and likes to pretty much run around getting involved. He's no target man, he's too good a footballer in terms of vision, creativity and passing to play right up there. He's got to stop roaming, though. He roamed far less in 09-10 and scored 40 goals.
