He made better decisions on the ball in this friendly tournament and strike a better shot than I've seen him do in two years in the premier. Confidence is a massive factor IMO. It's a friendly. Alan O'Brien looked a decent winger for us in pre-season.

Titus would dominate for 89 minutes then lose it. This guy - who, granted, has a laundry amount of mitigation - doesn't even fit that description.

That's the thing, though, it doesn't have to be especially cohesive. It'll get to the point where 95% are strongly against him, especially now that money has actually been spent (though the squad remains weak or weaker) and the ignorant Pardew defenders have no retort left. It'll get very, very ugly for him if results follow a similar pattern to those in the latter half of 13-14.

It comes down to the fans. They can easily make his position untenable. Either by staying away as I do or the vocal attacks heard against Cardiff. Only a matter of time before someone physically goes for him, too.

Of course we do. Mapou first and foremost needs a leader to hold his little hand and Williamson, the only one we have at the back, is a poor player by anyone's definition. His legs are fairly quick but his brain is anything but.

I would caution everyone to contain themselves a bit, like. You can never judge any player by performances in friendlies, and especially not wide players. They've always got loads of space to run into and the hard tackles are nowhere to be seen. He looks a talent and let's hope he can become a player, but starting for us? Restraint. And this. Give him to Hartlepool for 3 months. If he impresses look further up the leagues.

I think it'll be Cisse (mainly) and him largely sharing the duties depending on the opposition. Not good enough.
