Happy to admit I absolutely adored Rafa like any fan with half of brain would but I didn’t write off Howe. As I said, I think he’s done a top job.

At no point did I write off Howe. Happy to admit he’s been a lot better than I thought and has my total respect for the job he’s done.

100%. Would be easier to see past if Wilson wasn’t repeatedly failing to attack the ball and hold it up to any reasonable standard.

Make your own luck. We’ve got a squad severely lacking real quality in the final third which hasn’t been properly addressed in the last 3 windows post-takeover.

Only thing that worries me, if he's anything approaching a good keeper why was he below both Dubravka and Darlow in Howe's pecking order? It's a bit of damning indictment of how he's considered. On the other hand, he must be better than Darlow. I just refuse to believe he isn't.

To be fair, it wasn’t unlucky. He actually closes his eyes for the header. Pretty much the only thing he’s done wrong for us and that’s his punishment. He must be distraught.

3 goals in our last 7. Since dicking Southampton 3 1/2 months ago we’ve only scored more than one on one occasion. I’d love to think Howe will work on it and find the answer - if anyone can it’s possibly him - but realistically he has to rely on Wilson who is basically a 1 in 3 striker and seldom fully fit for long.
