Well said. His attitude has been fine and he was easily our best defender in the Championship. He’s just not very good at this level and is still here purely out of the previous owner’s neglect.
-
Course he is. It takes a long time for him to get a side modelled in his image. There were even some initial teething problems in the Championship and we lost a fair few games in that league. He’s made two bad career decisions since leaving us, and he’s certainly to some extent suffered out of his loyalty to us in the summer of ‘16. I feel for him. He’s far, far better than this.
-
Watford obliterated this lot. I take very little from the game other than the players are putting the effort in. We’re down without 3 automatic starters.
-
A striker needs to be very near to our top priority this window. Can’t rely on Wilson to be our main man unfortunately. It’ll just get us relegated, even if we do tighten up the defence a bit.
-
Asking for trouble a bit when you’ve got both a CM and CB partnership that can’t defend. Shades of previous relegation seasons: nowhere near enough goal threat in attack and far, far too easily played through. Howe needs to find the balls to take the captaincy off Lascslles ASAP. He’s just a nonentity at the back.
-
Yeah, fine.
-
Took about 4 games under Rafa if memory serves. Either way he can’t afford many more bedding-in mistakes.
-
It wasn’t even the most expensive EFL squad that season. ? Not to mention the fact we literally sold about £75m worth of players in pre-season that year.

Based on a poor 6 weeks at an injury-plagued Everton who finished 10th under one of the best managers in history last season? Real were, off the top of my head, 2 points worse off than Barca when he was sacked. He was hardly shite. And do fill us in about your knowledge of Chinese football; where should he have finished there?
-
Not cherry picked. It was 2 1/2 years ago and that was the only period in his time here where we had a PL standard attack to complement the defence he’d built. The result was good football and a very good points return.
-
We were the 7th best side in the league in his last half season in charge with mostly the same shit who have us bottom now. There’s nothing remotely suggesting he’s done at top level through any reasonable / unbiased perspective.
-
The pair of them are an embarrasment. Frauds too.
-
Quite agree. The midfield just doesn't function at all, we're far too easily cut open and ASM aside there's no directness whatsoever. And that's barely touching on the defence. Need some drastic, drastic changes because in terms of the overall fragility and game mangement this is as bad an NUFC side as I've seen.
-
Another one? 4 years later he still wouldn’t start for us. Same goes for Armstrong. People talk about them both like they’re huge losses.
-
Ritchie has been targeted by opposition all season and it’s worked big time. So many goals coming from his side. He should be nowhere near the team.
-
The takeover happened at the worst possible time and I think it will cost us. I’m about at a 7. Howe will need to learn fast who our weak links are - utter rubbish like Ritchie etc. Took a much better manager in Rafa 4 games to figure out who needed binning off.
-
Feared the worst when I saw he started. He’s a real liability.
-
Same goes for the likes of Tiote. Wouldn’t have got near any of our better sides over the past 30 years. I do feel for those who’ve only been watching us post-2004 because it’s been the odd gem like Ba or Hatem standing out amongst a lot of mediocrity or worse.

Why are lower league managers always called something like Johnnie Jackson?
-
Return of the mack. Yeah mate we definitely do.
-
I’d take him. Could easily go tits up though.
-
He gets away with absolute murder with the media and sections of the fans. I don’t understand it. Never had this much hatred for anyone employed by NUFC.
-
Much better now. Cheers mate.

My first order of business would be sacking Bruce and Charnley. Ideally in public.

You're right then. He clearly used the incident to fleece the club out of a salary pretending to be a footballer and all that. I didn't suggest anything of the sort. He was just one of many hit and hope Carr signings for peanuts that didn't work. To attribute it to a tackle is stupid.
