He wasn't injured, though. There isn't a professional footballer, especially a wide player, on the planet who hasn't been shook up by a bad tackle at some point.
Dare I say that if an admittedly awful tackle at the JJB/DW causing no physical injury ruined him mentally, there was fuck all to ruin in the first place. He has some ability but he's never in a billion years a PL defender. Another stupid Carr signing.
Steady on, like. We were poor but it was nothing compared to losing 0-6 at home to them 4 years ago and the plethora of other pathetic beyond words displays during Pardew's tenure.
Would had won the league imo if KK hadn't quit.
Not a chance. Dalglish did well that season points wise. For us to accumulate a further 7 we'd have had to be ridiculously good. Better than we ever were, to be honest. It took very good results at OT and Highbury to sneak 2nd.
Nolan was a wreck of an athlete and at best a mediocre footballer. He relentlessly scored goals when afforded space, though. You can't compare the two. Totally different strengths.
Striker > Keeper > AM.
I'm quite surprised so many posters are relatively relaxed about the keeping situation, like. We know how poor Elliot is and Darlow was often a liability in the Championship. A good keeper like Reina would do so much more than help stop us conceding daft goals.
Shelvey and Hayden mentioned as possible no.10s on the same page?
Really, there's desperation but that's just utter insanity. We either all join in mass prayer for de Jong's health or just buy a fucking no.10.
