Here's a good quote:
Next time you rave about Yohan Cabaye, remember there's a young, virtually unused lad who's not capable of scoring goals from midfield who has the same amount of goals from open play.
Beckford.
I said he'd never make a Premier League player while pretty much everyone else wanted us to pay £3m for the useless prick.
Clearly there's no middle-ground between thinking Gosling is capable of getting goals from midfield and him being a 'favourite' now. Sad thing is, if it was a ginger geordie with that record, everyone would want him in the team.
Out of interest, what is it about him that you like?
He wants to score goals from midfield, for a start.
Name one player who doesn't want to score goals from midfield
As I said, if you could read, he's actually capable of doing it.
Ours too.
Though there seems to be a never ending debate of Santon's real position, why don't you see him as the replacement for Enrique? In fact we made almost no profit from the sell Enrique buy Santon deal.
Pardew has said privately and publically (I think, although he may have contradicted this) that Santon was bought to play RB.
No. Are you?
He's capable of scoring goals from midfield, that's all we're saying. If you lot want someone else to hammer in lieu of Perch then go right ahead, but few will take you too seriously. He's a young lad who's shown raw ability to get goals; he's got years to develop it.
Out of interest, what is it about him that you like?
He wants to score goals from midfield, for a start.
I would like to do that too.
He's capable of doing it, though.
Not a chance, if only for the fact he's too far down the pecking order. His signing was just a low-risk gamble that hasn't worked out; he's looked extremely limited whenever he's played imo. Would have no problem with getting a few hundred grand back for him and promote one of/both our two young centre-mids, who both look very promising.
Who?
