True, but when I queried that with my sister in law she replied to the effect that how Newcastle report to the Stock Exchange is up to them, the fee is £7m and nothing extra will be paid. The details should have been identical but they weren't, I've no idea which was correct. I've no reason to doubt my s-i-l but I can't think of any good reason why Fat Fred would say there are add-ons if there weren't. i think i'll go with the stock exchange announcement over what your sister says, no offence. There were 2 different reports to the LSE. What Spurs reported to the LSE was that the consideration was £7m. What Newcastle reported to the LSE was that the consideration was £7m plus add-ons dependent on criteria being met. My s-i-l (who works at WHL) says there were no add-ons. It's not whether you go with the LSE announcement but which LSE announcement. So both LSE reports are correct but your sister in law is wrong Like I said before, I don't know, no reason to doubt my s-i-l, no reason why Fat Fred would say there were when they weren't. It'd be criminal for negotiations to proceed all the way through to a contract being signed without the manager trying to sell the club to the player - something Keegan can do (even if its making up s****! If I was Keegan I'd say to Mort I want to be involved, to find out about the player I'd be managing, ask what his ambitions are in the game, and if I was the player I'd be wanting to meet Keegan, to find out his ambitions and goals for the club. i guess that's a standard procedure when a player is considering an offer.. i don't think we ever got into that stage with Modric..

agree, although Edwards was awful yesterday.. what i like most about Jose is that he's not afraid of the responsibility to start an attack.. in most cases that means he's alone against the opposition winger and right back, yet he's still confident enough to take on them and create spaces for through balls etc.. after years of watching Carr, Babayaro and the other jokers afraid to pass a ball forward, it's a rather nice change to have two complete wing backs.

Geremi is a bad, bad player. He's created a couple of chances, in his defence, but they have been spread across a dozen games. He's nowhere near good enough for a team that wants to be pushing for the top 7. i agree in general, but overall he's done surprisingly well after the ACN.. it's like having a cleverer Milner without the pointless dribbling

i rate McGeady, but if we are after a tricky lightweight player from Celtic, i'd rather take Nakamura
