Not disagreeing at all as you are right but at times there were 2 or 3 clear options but whoever was dwelling just didn't seem to want to release. I tend to think it is more a mixture of the two which is a horrible predicament. Our players supply little or no movement and the player with the ball has no idea what to do with it. That's how I see it too. It really looks like they don't have any kind of attacking/possession tactical training.. I ain't no Leo Messi but I know that when I pass a ball in tight space I have to make myself available right away for a simple return pass, instead of simulating a 'run' straight into three opposition players. Nolan, Smith and Butt are doing this at every opportunity. It's evident they just don't want the ball and that's their main responsibility as midfielders. We cannot afford to carry a dysfunctional midfield week in, week out. We all know that. Hughton's inability to make, what appears to me, a very simple managerial decision so far is very worrying.

Nolan, Butt, Smith, Barton.. The day the last of this sad bunch of clowns leave the club will be a great day for the club. They're all millionaires because of this club and that doesn't seem to motivate them to even get fit? or god forbit, to have more than two decent games a season.. No idea mate..The guy that introduced me to Halom said that his wife is bulgarian and he has lived here for the last couple of years. I had a 5 minute chat with him back then and he didn't really share anything interesting, apart for a few general thoughts on football which left me wondering how somebody who's such a passionate fan of the mackems can work for us.. I know for a fact that he often attended Levski Sofia games and training sessions last season. I guess you can expand his scouting knowledge in Eastern Europe.. I doubt he's been hired to scout only in Bulgaria.. Then again I'm not sure if he still works for the club.

You know this mackem guy Vic Halom.. he works as a scout for the club, I think he's married and lives in Bulgaria.. I had a little chat with him towards the end of last season. He spoke very kindly of Vetere, claiming he's a hard-working guy, very highly regarded in the game, that he rebuilt the Newcastle scouting setup from scratch.. etc.. I remember asking him about any concrete players, he refused to go into detail but said that the club have a detailed file for EVERY promising young player across Europe.. Anyway, the news of Carr's appointment the other day must mean that Vetere's gone.
