  1. Perch was shit, there's no saying otherwise. Every time he got the ball I was terrified and most of the time he either fucked up or gave it away with a shite pass. Don't dislike him as a person, seems to try hard and gives his best, but his best is looking woefully short of what's required and he's either got to improve massively or should never get near the first team ever again.
  2. On the match stats thing on my stream, it's just come up "Peter Lovenkrands - Completed passes: 0" Sums up his value to the team really. Though surely he passed it nicely onto Sherla's head for the goal?
  3. Have really enjoyed that so far. Definitely deserving the lead, Nolan's goal looked like he had all the time in the world to slot the ball away. Well he did, tbf. Defending was shocking. Wolves only idea seems to be to kick us off the park. I'm convinced the only reason they took Milijas off was because he was on a yellow so couldn't kick people as much anymore, get someone else on who can run round and do some fouling instead. Would love to see the bunch of dirty cunts get relegated.
  4. The madness isn't the bench today, it's what we did in January. Loaning out a decent player like Routledge, getting in a crocked one like Ireland and at the same time we can't say we were surprised by the fact that Ben Arfa, Gosling and Smith are out injured still. Those 3 injuries are something we should have looked to get cover for but instead we ended up one more man down by loaning Routledge out and replacing him (numerically at least) with someone who's fucked. Idiocy.
  5. There was no chance Ranger would start. I'm not surprised that Lovenkrands starts, but I'm massively disappointed by it. Lovenkrands offers nothing at all as a footballer. He may even get a goal or 2 at some point but that won't change my opinion. He does nothing at all.
  6. See we're playing with 10 men again, Lovenkrands still in the starting 11. FFS.
  7. So we don't have to pay the player a 'loyalty bonus' when they leave. Would have saved us millions on Carroll as often players are entitled to 10% of the transfer fee if they haven't asked to leave. Have heard it said numerous times that players often have loyalty clauses in their contracts like this, so wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if Carroll and Given had them too and that we made them hand in transfer requests in order to waive their right to this money in order to leave for massively better contracts.
  8. Yeah, because Liverpool paid £35m solely for him to play in that game. Fucking imbecile.
  9. Some tremendous skill by Ferguson there. If that was Lionel Messi people would be creaming their pants over it. 4-4-2: Thank fuck!
  10. Fucking hate Stoke. Horrible, horrible shithole of a town, shithole of a club, play in shitty red and white stripes. Wish they'd just fuck off and die.
  11. Inexperience showing there unfortunately. Perhaps inexperience to be so far up the pitch chasing shadows, but when the ball was pushed forward he didn't race back to try and close Pennant down which IMO was just bad play. Doubtful he'd have got there given their relative starting positions, but you've got to try (And he didn't) as it's possible Coloccini could have held him up for a while.
  12. Ferguson was far too far up the pitch there, left Pennant in acres to put the cross in.
  13. There's nothing I can do about it so I've just stopped worrying. I'd love him to stay but if he doesn't we'll just have to move on. I'd much prefer it if he went abroad, I couldn't cope with him going to Spurs or Liverpool and getting wanked over every week by the pundits who have more or less ignored him because he's played for us. Tbf, they're not really ignoring him these days. Every pundit wanks over him now. Only because they think he'll be off to Liverpool or Spurs in a couple of months. They're just getting some practice in.
  14. Carroll will win balls in the air, I don't think there's a great deal any DC can do to stop that. The key is mopping up after him, making sure the knockdowns are dealt with. Stick Williamson on him, and have Coloccini mop up. It's the only way.

I thought to play for Ireland you just had to be able to find Ireland on a map. Of Ireland.

    Steven Taylor

Reads to me that his point is the reverse of that. Looks like he's insinuating that he's been given a guaranteed start by Pardew. Apologies I've misread it, it's difficult sometimes guaging tone on an internet forum.

    Steven Taylor

taylor isnt first choice, taylor wont sign new contract -> pardew comes in -> taylor is first choice, taylor signs new contract am i missing something? Pardew thinks Taylor is a better player than Williamson? Most here would disagree, but it's entirely possible for someone else to have a differing opinion, Shirley? Why does it have to mean there's a clause in his contract? He might just prefer Taylor.
  18. Do people not think that players have internet access? They're on OK-ish money you know, most of them can probably afford an entry-level PC. Chances are they all read what fans write about them, I wouldn't be in the least surprised if most of them lurk on this and/or other forums. You'd have to have a massive amount of willpower not to. How would you feel if you were Enrique, and had to read all the shite that's been posted here? Would that make you want to stay? I'm not suggesting that players should be beyond criticism, hell no. But Jose has done absolutely nothing wrong here yet some seem determined to drive one of our best players out. Fucking bonkers. I'm convinced that if some of you had guns, you'd spend all day sitting in your houses repeatedly shooting yourself in the foot.
  19. This "not giving 100%" stuff has to stop, there's absolutely no basis for it whatsoever. He's had some tremendous games recently, made some great forward runs and been one of our best players of late. You're all completely off your tits. No wonder good players leave, there's some absolute fucktards around who are determined to run people out of town at the slightest hint of anything bad. Have a word.
  20. We've barely created any chances to take. Though we're down to the bare bones of our squad.
  21. Solano and Beckham both lacked pace, but seemed to carve out reasonable top-flight careers. Know nothing about Snodgrass's ability mind, just saying lack of pace need not be a barrier to being a good winger.

    Danny Guthrie

That's fairly ridiculous. I don't think he's good enough, but he's better than nobody. I think loaning him out when we're so short on cover is extremely risky, but long term I don't think he should be anywhere near the first team. There's no fundamental dichotomy there, both points are valid. Given a couple more injuries I'd rather have a Championship level player in the midfield than someone who's coming through the youth ranks and is possibly only conference-level at the moment.

  24. Screamed like a madman when Ranger stuck that header away. Right decision from the linesman though, but just so wish he'd made the wrong call and let it stand.
