  1. Why have half the forum already got him banned for the next 12-18 months before we know anything at all? Hope you fuckers never get called up for jury service.
  2. First bit, yeah fair enough I was just struggling to properly quote on my phone. I had directly quoted you so the original text was there in my post to see, but then used "s incorrectly to indicate a quote when I should probably have used 's as it was paraphrasing. I've edited my original post to better reflect this. As to your second point, social media is free. Sure kids being on social media all the time annoys old people who don't use or understand it, and you could argue it has negative mental health connotations if over-used to extreme, but nobody has ever lost their house through using Tik Tok too much.
  3. 'They've taken so much money off poor and vulnerable people that they're the UK's biggest tax payer' isn't the winning argument you think it is. And giving a small portion back that you've taken isn't 'doing good for the community'. Society would be far better off without gambling. And I say that as someone who has benefited enormously from gambling myself.
  4. If he sticks money on Australia beating England at the weekend, he could get away with less than £5k.
  5. Awesome, got them. Thanks. Download, got them coming down now. Middle of P95, so not far back. Must've missed them somehow as I thought I'd read everything!
  6. Anyone know any sites where this game is available for download in full? Don't care about the legality, happy to take a PM.

They'd rather we were 1 place below us in the 3rd tier than we be one place above them in the top half of the PL. They've always been like this. The only thing they care about is being better than us. It's all they exist for.

I said he should have given a more careful view, but that was on the basis that what he's said isn't representative of how he actually feels. If he really just doesn't want women commentating or doing analysis, he's absolutely within his rights to say as much. But as I said earlier, free speech isn't freedom from the consequences of that speech, so he can and should be held to account for saying such things. Which is what's happening in this thread.

Well then you answer a bit smarter. "Do you like women pundits? "I want good pundits who have played the game to the highest level so they can provide the best analysis, and apart from that it doesn't matter to me" It isn't difficult. Unless actually, you just don't want women doing it.

Why not say "I don't like unqualified pundits" then? But he chose to say that he doesn't like women pundits. In the first instance, he chose to make it about their gender, not their qualifications. I love the man as much as any, but those comments are terrible.

Read back, I've never said I'm right. These are opinions, they can never be "proven" which is what you need to be able to do to be right. But my opinions on certain topics just aren't negotiable. I won't debate racists, homophobes or sexists because there is never and will never be any room in my world view for racism, homophobia or sexism. I will however always call people out for those views because I think they're abhorrent and we have a duty to call such things out when we see or hear them. That's what I've done here on the topic of sexism. If you want to call me narrow minded for that, well, erm, crack on I guess? As above, read back - I've never called anyone a woman hater. But people seem to not want women commentating just because they're women, which is at least a bias against women for just being women. That's sexism, not hatred of women. Some people have tried to say it's not sexism because they like established voices or because those people haven't played at what they consider a high enough level, but when challenged on new male commentators or old pundits who've not played at the highest level, they go suspiciously quiet. Which just leads back to it being because they don't want them commentating because they're women, which is sexist. Any blanket "I don't want women doing this" is sexist. If it's not because they're women, don't mention women. Say you don't want people commentating for reasons other than their gender if their gender isn't the thing you have issue with. But that's not what's happened.

Well surely you say "I don't like new commentators", then?

Pretty bold strategy to declare broad-minded people narrow-minded for condemning narrow-mindedness. I'll admit that wasn't the trajectory I thought the arguments would take.

"Entitled to his opinion" such a crap argument. It's no different to the people who cite a right to 'free speech' when being abusive or offensive. My answer is the same to you as to them - freedom of speech does not entitle you to freedom from consequence of that speech. Keegan has every right to say what he did, but we have every right to judge him for it.

This. It's bollocks from Keegan, who I otherwise adore, and bollocks from everyone supporting his stance.
  16. Well it will, that's literally what the link says
  17. Yeah, not thanks to open Stadia. Much better having a block of fans, especially away
  18. That wasn't at Stifler, he was quoting Liverpool fans saying that, wasn't he? Previous page and CBA to go back but I was criticising the mentality, not suggesting he thought like that.
  19. That attitude can get in the fucking bin. The best bit about football is the unbridled joy a good win brings. I only watched the game on the TV but I celebrated like an absolute loon and loved every second of it.
  20. Not a lot of choice there. I'm delivering training to 10 Omanis, who are staunch Muslims. They've been very understanding of my state this morning, but I think calling in sick due to a hangover might not have been wise.
  21. I'm Sam Fender levels of hungover this morning, attempting to function at work. But I'm so happy.
  22. Says something that I'm so happy about this result that I can't even bring myself to be angry towards this fish-lipped cunt.
  23. Actually celebrated that like a madman for about 3 seconds
  24. Same, every time I see a video or photo on here I start welling up, proper soft shite I've been this last 24 hours. There'll be tears of pride and pent up emotion from me when they play the CL music before kickoff.
  25. Wasn't it Bournemouth in the FA Cup where the match was called off due to fog, in the (first) Keegan years? Couldn't see the length of the pitch.
