Wouldn't normally engage but had to share this with the forum. Came up on my fb feed (I do not follow - and have now blocked) https://www.facebook.com/nufcnow/posts/pfbid0wBZwen2HQnJBChCUGRKEBob3fNX7HA2GeY441cyVjawSmp1CnmfoJCv7e8ttAZHSl

Matching last season's results, plus beating Everton, Bournemouth, West Ham and Brighton at home would prob qualify us for CL. That'd put us 2 points worse off than last season. Doesn't seem too likely right now. Still, it is very tight. Last season we only got 7 points from all remaining 8 away games. (3 at Tottenham, 3 at Forest, 1 at Palace, 0 at Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City, Fulham. Last season we only got 12 points from our remaining 8 home matches. 3 from Villa, Brentford, ManU, Southampton. 0 from Everton, Bournemouth, Brighton.

Last time I remember a manager leading his players off the pitch was Bruce. Inspirational.

Surprised how respectful it’s been at full time. Bit of an anti climax.

Was thinking surely there should be red cards dished out for actually walking down the tunnel

That second goal was proper lovely tbf.

eh, I thought he’d gone too. Happy for him.

In that Tottenham LC match the guy next to me was shouting KILL 'IM!! KILL 'IIIIM! and I'm going JOE MAN! NO! JOE!. The idea of Joe hearing that encouragement terrified me.
-
I don't rememeber a player making me laugh like Big Joe. I piss myself when he gans radge - celebrating or at an opposition player. I also find myself shouting Joe man!! a lot (don't get sent off!) but it's so full of love.

I've not got mine yet and ordered on the Mags+ release day. Evri say they haven't even got it yet (status: "we're expecting it"). Not really arsed tbh just seems expected it sooner. Edit: Evri have received it this afternoon

I was there that day and the last day of the season too. The contrast in mood between those two days First day of the season, Keegan manager, draw away at Old Trafford. Last day...relegated.

Do any clubs offer people to share a season ticket? It's always been known that people do it, but now ID checks have effectively banned it, at least for purposes of away games. Wouldn't be surprised if some clubs allowed people to offiically share, maybe with one other person? Being able to be named as sharing my da's would help me out significantly. He wouldn't be giving me many home tickets like but would away.

I genuinely wouldn't want us to get as successful as the likes of Man City, I think it looks fucking boring and quite sad in a way.
-
And it being a first leg. It felt a lot different - Wembley felt much further away. Still think it should’ve been better, just sayin’.

I've been in the corner safe standing 5 times I think now. Just feels like a completely different experience to sitting in some random seat in most of the ground, I by far prefer it. Feel so much more engaged - a fan, not a spectator, like you do at an away game. Would kill for a ST there. Back of Gallowgate is next best, good atmosphere - largely thanks to some good lads from here. (Would be nice if there was a bit more sunlight there though like )

Exactly that (bold)

Wow - i heard them sing three times. Once was about 20mins in briefly and not that very loud, once singing after they’d voted then right at the very end. Was surprised by how silent they were. Acoustics in that ground are mad. Thought the atmosphere was good from us, by realistic standards. Not up with the best but significantly better than your average match. But I was in the corner.

Newcastle United 0-2 Manchester City [LCSF 1st Leg] (13/01/25)

Yes leading not leaving! Was one of those where it was hard to tell how atmosphere really, cos I was in the corner, thought it was pretty good tho not like some of the great nights. Did my best to keep the Eddie Howe Black n White Army going down in the lower part too, though couldn’t match the top. Big fan of that as a chant, great to have one that can go on ages -

Id heard about @Heron‘s legendary voice. I’d been in the corner a few times but not seen him directly. Today when one of the Eddie Howe BW army chants died down to just a few people, I looked to the back and pretty sure it was heron I could see leading. that VAR was a joke. Not seen it and benefitted us but don’t care, it’s bollocks not too bad but lacked that something extra you need to beat a team of their quality. Missed Isak tonight.Bit concerned about Wissa, hopefully just lacks sharpness -
I have to admit I currently feel much less hyped for this than last year's semi-final. Last year felt more like a semi cos it was the second leg - one game from Wembley. Of course having a lead to protect added to it. Everyone, including myself, needs to get their arse into gear though and create a similar atmosphere tonight - i think it really helps on these occasions.
