  1. I know. I don't remember feeling like this. It actually hurts to see him in a Man City top. It feels like he's cheating on me. By that I don't mean I harbor negative feelings towards him.
  2. What? Really. Thought he was one of our best today (i know that's not really saying that much). Trying to maintain an attack, good balls.
  3. I've always had the impression they get on and tease each other. Always remember them joking together when he first played against us for Blackburn.
  4. What the hell? 7 million?! No way. If we're lettig him go, surely we have to get a good amount for him, especially city. 10mil minimum.
  5. There were quite a few arguments about these chants. I didn't participate. I'm not hostile towards KK like some, but we just need to let it go. We can't drag that up every time, our current situation is enough to whinge about.
  6. I've never booed a player, but I nearly did him today, and wished i had when he went straight for the tunnel.
  7. My Mam likes this bag, she says it looks like a Mulberry and was wondering whether you could confirm this? (seriously)
  8. Disillusioned, certainly. Won't ever affect my support though. It's an irrational thing, and i'll follow us whatever. It's difficult to feel as passionate. If I was as passionate about this crapness as i was when we're doing well, then it would affect my life too much, and i can't really surrender my all-round mood to Mike Ashley, Joe Kinnear and Charles N'Zogbia, but will travel, wear my shirt, proudly call myself a newcastle fan the same as ever. In fact, i think i can display it more to show my defiance. I've started wearing my black and white scarf with my coat in Edinburgh more since our direness. I found this strange too. So expected recently, it doesn't even hurt. That real sinking feeling i get when we concede a goal has been lacking this season. Of course it was there with the mackems, wigan, stoke (the latter just the time i think) a few others but really lacking in some. I took my scouse friend to the game last week and i really ended up laughing, particularly at the corners. There was no sink when they scored, little rise when we did, as i knew it'd come to nothing. Looking forward to tomorrow a bit more due to the clean slate nature of the competition i think. Given going would be a real blow. For obvious reasons, but also because he feels like some sort of conenction to the better times. He goes, and that era will be completely dead. I, too, convince myself it's the crap that will make it extra sweet when we eventually prevail. At aged 19, I'm hoping that is realistic in my life. Though I wonder if it would ever be as satisfying as in the KK/Bobby days, with the game changing so much. Ah and i was so happy a year ago when KK came back!
  9. Good luck to the guy, really. But i hope he goes to one of the big 4, won't be happy if he ends up at Spurs or Man City, that would hurt.
  10. The Reina thing was just idiotic. Some fans did certainly 'fall for it'. One guy walked right down to the bottom behind the goal just to sohut abuse at Reina after, with a lot of hatred.
  11. I wish that lot in the corner would stop singing "Your support is fucking shit" to every set of fans. No they weren't particularly vocal, but at least they stopped us having an embarrassing set of empty seats. It once had an effect, at the semi final in Cardiff (the first time I remember hearing it), but for god's sake, stop! It's crap, it makes us look like idiots and it's unnecessarily antagonistic. They were winning 5-1, ripping us, are top of the league, and we have the owen situation and i never heard them attack us.
  12. Yes, I would. Now that Ashley's not selling, we should bring in a permanent manager. Steve Bruce, a geordie, and at least a decent manager, i think he's what we need, being realistic. I'd also have said no, a few years ago. But I think since then, obviously we're in a worse position, and i also have more faith in him, with him also doing quite well at Wigan.
  13. Was it really Street Fighter they were doing? Has something happened recently to prompt it like, or are they just excited for 4?
  14. Still has to be a 3. If 1 is Liverpool/Chelsea, then i can't really put us to a 2 like Villa.
  15. I think he'd move to the top4 and maybe Villa, don't see why Man City really. He might hold off though for a while, see if we actually look like having a proper manager. Totally wouldn't blame if he left though.
  16. Woud love it if he stayed, but I don't think so. I think for free, one of the top4 or Villa or someone might take him.
  17. I think my belief was that it was time for him to leave that summer, and with the time and our position at the time, get in a really good manager. Sacking him a few games in, just after the transfer window was laughable though. I think we'd have finished 5th-8th had he stayed.
  18. I know, that's what I was just thinking. I must admit I got a pissed off towards the end of his reign, and though i never called for his sacking i didn't think it was a necessarily bad thing at the time. But I was just talking today, I don't think I'll ever enjoy football again like I did in his time. Of course sometime in my life, i expect we'll be good again, but i doubt it will ever be with a great geordie manager, geordieno.9 striker and legends like Solano that it was with him. While i remember the latter keegan days, i wasn't old enough to appreciate it.
  19. Tbf, Philips scored against Sunderland saw no badge kissing, I bet if Siberski had scored against us he'd not have celebrated, its a mutual respect. Viduka v boro last year too, despite loads of abuse.
  20. Last year was the first time i genuinely feared it, and we were fine. Yesterday i'd have said ridiculous. But now i think there is a realistic chance. Yes, we're not losing that many, but at the same time, we can't win! We must be winning home games against the likes of Stoke and Wigan, or making up for it by winning away. We're not. Probably won't, but can see it being our worst PL position ever, and chances could increase in January. (i voted 4) When Owen and Martins are scoring, as in the last 2 home games, and we're still not winning, it's very very worrying. Us and Sunderland down is certainly possibly, though they'll get a new manager 'boost' i think.
