That really is quite pathetic. Any set of fans would love it, them included. What actions would be embarrassed about exactly? Can you imagine if 'Quinny' did it.

-
He did, he was just behind me. 'Beefy'
-
He's worth having purely for the fact he was waving and winding up the mackems at the final whistle
-
Jumped about, looked at mackems and emre, barton and milner loving it. A bit like Zogs there, i didn't realise it was creeping in til the very last second.
-
He simply looks disinterested IMO That's absolute rubbish and based on nothing but his reputation. Owen is one of the hardest working players in our team. He was basically the only one still going at the end against Portsmouth, Reading and running everywhere today.
-
I don't think it was a lucky goal. You put the ball in that area, something likely to happen. If it had been heading wide, Viduka probably would have knocked it in at the back post.
-
He's a newcastle fan and i can fully understand him going there, so i certainly won't be giving him a hard time. I've no doubt he his goal in the derby last time will always be a much prouder moment. If he celebrates much i won't be too happy. I don't think he'll want to, but if he gets bad stick and particularly if they go into racist territory, he may. feel obliged.

I genuinely felt physically sick when Shearer lined up for the pen the other year, and wasn't exactly cool for Nobby's either. It sounds quite said
-
Smith's someone i really want to do well. I love his attitude, and know he will appreciate success with us greatly. Some games he's done decent but he's not really shown much. He must have something though, the ManU fans seem to rate him.
-
Paul Sweeney. He used to live in my court in kingston park. Too young to remember him playing though. Don't think he was young when he was here though.

Make sure to say tak instead of take then.

I certainly thinks it's bigger for them

Yknow, i was just thinking i've never been less hyped for a SOL derby. I think it's partly because it's near the start of the season so we don't know what it means. The first 2 years, the mackems had beaten us at St. James so we had to ensure they didn't do a double, and aim to get revenge. The next year we were doing really well, pushing for CL and had a slight chance of going for the title, while sunderland were hanging around relegation. The next year, again, we were trying to ensure champions league football, were revelling in them being already relegated. There only thing left was to beat us, so we had to make sure it didn't happen. Next time, the relgatio thing was the same, we were making a late surge for europe which required winning nearly every game and it was Shearer's last derby. I'm always so hyped for them. This year, i'm looking forward to it/nervous more than your average game, but i've got nothing like the anticipation of previous years. There's nothing happening, and i can't see it getting any better than last time.
-
It is different. I think he's got a bit of a point. Yeah it's not a big deal, but surely it's a bit wrong having their colours on a geordie bridge. Surely we should have black and white and they can stick something red and white in sunderland.
-
Smith probably. He should be up for it. He's going to score
-
I was actually in a strange way happy shearer got injured, and could never understand the mackems trying to take something from it. What a perfect end. I mean could you possibly think of a better last game for him. A goal, a penalty, away at a record-breakingly bad sunderland (revenge for the other pen) in a big win, that set us up for the UEFA cup. At the newcastle end.

"Going Down the Brummie Road to see the Albion Aces..."

Blackburn and Bolton use it too -
I'm quite surprised by this. Seems a bit strange.

The mackem games, especially the away ones, are hugely important to me. Shearer's pen, dabizas's goal are probably my 2 favourite moments in football. I don't think i've ever been as nervous as when shearer lined up for the pen to put us in the lead minutes after chopra's goal. And it will be so horrible to lose next week. But in terms of progress etc. it's pretty much the same as any game. Even if i get annoyed with some of sam's decisions, as i have, the rational side of me will tell me he needs time. A few months is not time.
-
If we start calling for his head after the mackems, we'll become an official joke. Unless we actually go backwards, he gets 3 years with me.
-
Wasnt cacapa playing them on for the 3rd too

I think that's a very easy thing to say, but total rubbish. Yes, he's done nothing effective, because he's been given nothing. But today, when the team were giving up, he was back in midfield, moving, getting the ball, at least trying to make something happen.
