[LCF] Newcastle United 2-1 Liverpool - NUFC LEAGUE CUP WINNERS

Excellent. They sort of had this on in Wembley before the match, but annoyingly it was missing a few. -
Haha aye but we didn’t know it was then! Sure I openly missed school for a UEFA cup away game and Scotland away qualifiers too. Always did our holiday during term time cos cheaper too. Used to say it was fine as long as max 2 weeks per year. @madras - I definitely did it; almost every year. Took a note in from parents saying I’d be off for holiday.(as above)
-
Are you not allowed a certain amount of absences with a note from your parents anymore? I missed two weeks of school for the 98 World Cup. Was no bother.
-
His contract just expired right? It wasn't terminated?

I think a footballer often hits harder than other famous people because if you're match-going you've seen these people in the flesh, sometimes many times. Jota was there in the flesh at Wembley on one of our most memorable days.
-
I didn't think he'd done it enough for it to be 'a thing' - but he has a little bit, so maybe that is the angle.
-
Can’t believe that black shield thing on the shirt is real never doubted was fake when first saw. The rest of the shirt is lovely though,

I just watched the stoppage time again. It's mad how much I still feel nervous despite knowing what happens, then this almighty relief and emotion when the whistle went again -
I'm a big believer in petty grievances and holding grudges in football, which is why I feel qualified to say let it go on Dubravka. He did hardly anything and a lot more happened before and since.

This was my overwhelming feeling after the second too (but not the first) (oh and it happen) -
Wow humiliating for Boca
-
I dunno, I actually maybe would read something into all this. Either that or he's on the wind-up.
-
Surely that's fake? I saw it elsewhere before and assumed someone shit at photoshop had stuck the badge on another shirt. Big fan of the badge being its proper colours rather than mono but that black shield cannot be real. Otherwise think it's decent!
-
Particularly shit, unless it’s for keepers

How does this work when the Club World Cup is at same time and in same place?? Assumed it wasn’t on this sunmer.
-
Aye he does support Middlesbrough. Still lives in Newcastle.

Grealish's hair had blokes absolutely raging around me last time he played up here, can't imagine how they'd deal with him in our shirt. Find him quite a likeable guy but can't see it being anything other than cheap tabloid talk.
-
yeah, something I only really realised in recent years trawling wiki. After 25 and 16 PL goals for us, he then scored 12 across his first three seasons at Tottenham. Had two double figure seasons after he left us (10 and 12).
