Lewis Hall looking mint though
-
What's the fucking point of Long staff, such a frustrating player. Just jogs around, doesn't put a tackle in, offers fuck all in attack
-
He would be an excellent signing for us, not bothered by the price. That back 4 with Hall, Guehi, Batman and Livramento gives those in front a bit more freedom
-
Would be gutted if he goes and hope it doesnt happen, wouldn't leave us with much to spend (Cost 40, So maybe 50 million for PSR next 3 years). If his head is turned though, very difficult to keep him. He's got such a high level and developed so much under Howe that I hope he wants that more.
-
Also Livramento 2nd season, Gordon and Isak will continue to get better, Tonali back. Still think we will get a RW and CB but waiting for market to free up a bit. Still expect Dubravka, Trippier and 1 other to probably leave and probably another Minteh type signing. 2 players in right positions makes squad much stronger and with no Europe hopefully less impact from injuries etc.
-
Wouldn't rule it out, look where Jacob Murphy was a few seasons back being farmed out on loan. Would be good to see given he's only 26
-
Maybe shoring up parts of squad and saving cash for right winger, centre half and one more? Save money on keepers and spend big elsewhere and hope it works.
-
I'm on the just take a points deduction rather than selling some of these train.
-
Well yeah we would as that would be about 50 mil this year for PSR? And few younger players to sell/improve in future
-
Not that they are paying 200 million though, can't see that sort of money thrown about. Could see 120 or 130al maybe and us biting
-
200 million would be 160m pure profit? Could upgrade the team a lot with that given how it's spread not that I would want to lose him but that's 3 or 4 big upgrades to the team in a few areas tbf.
-
Didn't we used to complain when wouldn't buy experienced players/players for now under Ashley. I think there will be a plan to mix some inexperience which we have with more experienced players and won't all be flashy. I still trust management and rest of club to get it all right.
-
How can they do fair market value on transfers, it's very subjective surely like depending on needs/timing a player may be worth more to buying club or selling club may need to take less or a club may hold others to ransom and up to buying club to pay it if rate player/deal is worth it to them.
-
Think it would work better if Gordon was on left if Kane is coming short. Him and Saka or Bowen at least get behind. Foden too deep and coming in constantly, won't go outside or trouble fullback, Eze again not a left winger
-
That was just awful. No plan at all, no attacking just utter shit. The whole setup in midfield and attack doesn't work.
-
Liverpool can afford for it not to work out because of quality they already have. That £40 million to us is potentially 2 new first team upgrades and we need the money to progress rather than taking gambles on him turning out ok. I would even accept selling Bruno for 100 mill if it means we can strengthen team as a whole as rely on a few key players right now. They may also take that 40 mill and look for other young potential to loan out which is probably the strategy and where we are at moment and to progress with restrictions in place we are going to need to generate revenue.
-
Would the right way not be to say investors can invest X amount each season or each club can spend X amount a season say 200 million but only if the owners are making up he losses or revenue stream supports it. That way teams like us can compete on even level. I'm all for financial controls and retaining competition but only if it gives all teams a fair chance to compete whereas current rules are geared to that traditional top 6 due to them building under less restrictions previously.
-
Seems like a top lad, like others thought he was a horrible fucker at Everton but think that was his will to win. Watching that Overlap show with him and things like this show how down to earth he is
-
He was excellent, has been last few games. He's got great feet and seems to be coping defensively much better than earlier in season. Him and Tino could turn out to be bargains.
-
We didn't have enough quality in the team/squad to sustain the extra games and the injuries. Can see that with some players that were consistent throughout but clearly have the quality like Bruno, Isak and Gordon, they have been mint most games. Think likes of Trips is showing his age a bit, some young players finding their feet like Tino,Hall, Anderson and Miley and some bang average players that can't be consistently good like Longstaff, Murphy, Alimiron, Kraft. Would include Burn but think he's played well most games and looked decent since stepping into middle. Having a keeper that can't save shots like Dubravka hasnt been great.
-
Just need to be much better defensively next season, too many easy goals leaked and teams cutting through midfield a lot. Need to be more cohesive going forward as well and upgrading that right side of the the team is key as well as defensive players. Scoring goals hasnt been the issue but having a midfield that can't control a game other that Bruno has been a big issue, Tonali might help that, also having a fairly shit right winger every game has limited us and the sloppy as fuck passing from Longstaff/Others kills us. We need a serious upgrade there and someone other than Bruno that can play sharp passes, retains the ball well and can move us forward. On the left I think we are well set, Hall starting to look a player, cover from Burn, Target and Liveramento, maybe Kelly as well and further up have Gordon/Barnes and Joelinton/Isak can also cover or Hall as well.
-
Chelsea have been as shit as us away from home and their next 2 games are away, we need to win today and pickup a point as can't see them and Man U getting more than 6 points which is what they will need if we win today and get a draw in next 2
-
Feel like there was a few younger keepers mentioned in twitter feed and feels like that's what we need a younger keeper to deputise for Pope next season with view they step up year after. Wouldn't spunk anywhere near 60 million on Ramsdale.
-
Ah suppose for purpose of PSR wouldn't really matter or if paid longer term on books
-
It means all the PSR shit is not going to matter to them and should for us either if that's the case. Bet Amanda etc have been waiting for this to all unfold
