It's relatively unsurprising these days when players move on from us and do well, however Joselu's turnaround is genuinely shocking; he was absolutely dreadful for us. He seems to have been doing well for a couple of years too

Every week we turn a win into a draw or worse. That seriously stinks of a critical moment where it looks like its just not going to be our year. There is still time, obviously, but the games are disappearing. Absolutely gutting, yet inevitable result.

Is £20m really that eye watering for a player that's scored double figures, four years running, in the league for a club that doesn't tend to score a lot of goals? It sounds like exactly what we need to be fair.

Nothing wrong with a signing like this given our circumstances. I've always thought he was half decent, but his goal return is surprisingly strong. Ideally we have another striker in too, come the end of the month, however this is a pretty sensible signing, if not the glamourous signing we'd hoped for.

I'm not sure how you can really blame the manager for such a wretched display of finishing. With even a slight bit of decisiveness or attacking quality it would have been a comfortable win. The players just aren't good enough.

It could work out that way, however his form and general lack of interest currently at Arsenal should undoubtedly be a consideration point. We absolutely cannot have anyone coming in and giving less than everything. At his age, with his accomplishments, money etc. would he really fancy that? Also, as Gawalls mentions above regarding AFCON; if he's off there then I'd rule him out tbh.

Would be great to see someone of PEA's stature come in, however I would seriously question his desire too.

I don't think he should be captain. The last thing you want to do is put any unnecessary pressure on him right now. He seems to be thriving with whatever is being asked of him and should continue focusing on his own performance without being concerned with anything else.

Was Ronaldo's foul on him worthy of a red? There wasn't any malice IMO but he completely missed the ball and cleaned the player out. I thought it was at least worthy of a look via VAR. Hated the "Oh don't be silly" from Ronaldo followed by the "oh okay it's alright because you're Ronaldo" from the ref immediately following the foul.

I properly, thoroughly enjoyed that game, even with the disappointment of not getting the deserved win; first time I can say that in 10+ years. I could probably pick out some similar or better performances from Rafa's time however as much as I loved Rafa, there was always the ceiling imposed by Ashley that prevented my enjoyment from ever really being truly unrestrained. This enjoyment extends beyond full time and gives me hope.
