  1. oh christ. With atm being the operative word in that statement, is it really that unrealistic a statement? Yes. I don't think it is. I'm not saying that he is a better player that some of the top defenders in the league, but he is playing bloody well at the moment.

  3. Given - 7 Beye - 7 Enrique - 8 (Duff - 7) Coloccini - 7 Bassong - 8 Gutierrez - 7 N'Zogbia - 8 Butt - 8 Guthrie - 7 Owen - 6.5 Ameobi - 3 (Viduka - 6.5)
  4. I love seeing team spirit. I know its a bit of a dodgy celebration, albeit hilarious, but the players look genuinely happy to be playing with each other.
  5. Yep, a shame we lost our running clean sheets, though I don't think theres a lot the defence could have done about the goal.
  6. We actually have breathing space above relegation. chuffed as fuck!
  7. Fucking get in. I personally thought it was risky getting Enrique off and putting N'Zogbia at Left Back with Lennons pace, but credit to Kinnear its paid off.
  8. Could go either way this. Ameobi was terrible prior to going off.
  9. I really would love to see Man City go down, but like Spurs, I can't see it.

He didnt have a bad first touch or poor control. His biggest problem has always been his fitness, and his end product, which wasnt that bad in terms of setting up goals/moves, he just didnt want to shoot. Will be interesting to see if his pace is still in tact when hes fit.
  11. I don't see how it's giving someone a free pass just to give them time to settle in to both the pace and the physical side of the league. n'zogbia has had a free pass for the last couple of years with people offering every excuse under the sun for his whinging attitude. Even now his performances are very average and yet people are claiming he's doing so well. I think N'Zogbia has generally looked pretty decent when he's played this season. Not exactly setting the world alight but he's looked a threat most of the time when he's played. He's been better than last season. Pretty decent,eh? Exactly the point I'm making. Keep it up. N'zogbia has potential but nothing more and is worse now than his first season. And he'll be 23 by the end of the season so it's high time he started doing something other than an occasional cross rather than running up blind alleys. Hopefully he'll start paying us back against spurs but I'm not holding my breathe. Well, you read what you wanted to read there as it seems like you're implying I've said he's been brilliant this season, which I have not. I do think that he has looked a threat though when he's played, and looked better than he did last season. He's been particularly good at times at getting to the byline and cutting in on the defender. I agree with you though in that he hasn't bettered his first season for us.

As much as he was a bit of a twat, he was always my favourite player in his time with us.
  14. Isn't he just saying there that since hes moved him from Left Back, where Kinnear was playing him when he first arrived, to Centre Back he's been one of our best players? I don't see him saying he was the first person ever to play him CB. Hardly worthy of calling him a fucking clown either.
  15. It really would be a relief to get this whole situation put to bed if he signed. It would also be a very pleasant suprise as well.
  16. I think its clear that people are interpreting this in quite varying ways. As said above, I personally find this statement one of the most embarrassing I've heard spouted from him as he's either a complete fucking idiot, or hes making a joke that is in bad taste, which makes him a complete fucking idiot.
  17. He's silent for months, and then it gets to a time when a bit of professionalism from the club needs to shown in a bid to keep hold of one of our best players, and with the transfer window approaching and he starts coming out with shite. Great.
  18. Whose reactions are you referring to by the way? This forum, or just Newcastle fans in general? I wouldn't have thought general fans reactions would be any worse coming from Shepherd than Ashley. They would possibly even have less impact as he was such a media whore.
  19. I don't really tend to get worked up or pissed off with comments made in the media, but I personally find that in bad taste considering the state we are in. I find comments like that a lot more embarrassing than any of the tripe Kinnear's come out with.
  20. I don't. He was a decent-ish player that wasn't really interested when he first came here, and since his return from Birmingham hes been a generally poor player with the odd decent game here and there. Absolute rubbish. He was our best player throughout the last 12-15 games of last season. I think its safe to say we're not going to agree here as I think that statement is absolute rubbish.
  21. Just watched it, quality His English is good enough to be captain
  22. Interesting that he of all players would praise the confidence the team has gained given Kinnear's recent comments.
