Solano's passing was shit today. I think the players are as much to blame as Roeder since they were a bunch of gutless fucking clowns, but Roeder just sat and watched and gave absolutely no guidance!
-
Well said that man. completely agree with that, too scared to make any changes! he hasnt done bad for us overall but he has been found out big time tonight. We will go nowhere with him in charge!
-
he didnt play too well but to fair to him the player up against him was a friggin clone of christiano ronaldo!!
-
we arent gonna go anywhere with roeder, hes done ok up until now but thats it! hes too afraid to make decisions he just sits and watches!
-
I blame roeder mostly for that he just sat and watched hes afraid to make decisions! At the same time though the players should have shown some pride and they were just fucking awful! Emre done well when he came on!
-
Wish we was playin tonight, I got football training tomorrow gonna miss the game!!!
-
I actually can't believe people want to sell him before he's produced any goods for us, hes starting to show signs that hes coming back into form, and when he hits it he will be massive for us! His season has been very stop start so I think its somewhat understandable that he hasn't been able to find any form.

yeah i wasnt really sure to be honest where it should be! plus i thought if this thread was to die on its arse not as many people would notice if it was in the chat section!

Also, do u often see players in the streets/nightclubs/bars etc, or public places and if u do how do people react to it? The closest team of any "significance" to where i live is Gillingham and 1: thats still 60 or so miles away and 2: They are shit!!!

i was most disappointed, the first geordie i speak to and he dont like football!!!
-
Really original title I know but..... Are geordies as a whole as fanatical about football as people say they are? I only really ask because the one time I was in Newcastle (Im from Kent) I got in a cab and started the usual conversation as you do, and I mentioned I was up for my birthday watching the Olympiacos game, and the bloke didnt even know we were playing them and told me he werent really into football! I was shocked!!! Everyone always says how everyone in Newcastle is so passionate about their football, I must have met the only fucker that dont give a shit! so yeah, was just wonderin!

i guess you could add bramble to that list as well to be honest since on his day he is actually a quality CB. just doesnt have those days often. Our biggest problem is that most of the time its only really one player at a time in our team thats "on his day" I think Bramble normally does better in Europe. Aye we've had some great performances in Europe over the years and Bramble's played an integral role. The question is can he go through 6 Europeans games without a costly clanger? how many games has he gone at the moment without making a mistake? hes been playing really well lately!

I dont agree with that at all, in that first half we played really well and it wasnt down to them playing badly!

He's been playing at the highest level for 4-5 years now, if he was capable of ironing out the flaws in his game i imagine he would have done so already. He is an explosive player, if a little inconsistent, but i don't see him improving dramatically from here. Yet, he's still only 22, in his first season in a new country, playing for an injury ravaged squad with an inadequate manager. On top of that he's had to deal with some of our fans who are all too happy to write someone off quickly. You never fail to worry me with your pessimism. I think he's been brilliant. He's already scoring regularly in the Premiership and in Europe, i just think the flaws in his game are part of him rather than something he'll improve on. thierry henry was at Monaco for a good few years and then juventus and even arsenal for a season before he became considered one of the worlds best so i cant say i agree that you dont think a player of the age of 22 wont improve over the next few seasons!

Dyer, Emre and Martins at the top of their games!

Getting beaten 2-0 away from home by a better team and mananger isn't exactly unimaginable. Infact, I'd have AZ as slight favourites. i think we are a better team to be honest, its just that most of our players underperform can't believe that is up for debate tbh I disagree completely. We have a very poor 'team' and if it wasn't for the quality of our individual players, we'd be in a relegation battle. i think we have a better team of players performing below their abilities whereas they have worse players playing to their ability.

i love the passion! i would love it if we won the cup...

please be joking, what did he do wrong? What did he do right? Didn't attack well and watched his marker far too much. Definately think we will score out there, they seem s*** scared of our pace. Start with the Zog next game mind. i think you are critisizing him because of who he is. He had a steady game, did his job.

My Ratings: Given: 8 - Made some good saves, unlucky with the pen Carr: 7 - Did his job no more no less Solano: 8 - Good vision/passing, composed at the back Bramble: 9 - Superb game, excellent tackle to stop the attacker clean through Taylor: 7.5 - Lots of good interceptions. unlucky with the penalty Duff: 7 - Very good first half, good skill for the first goal, tired 2nd half Dyer: 8 - Lots of running, took his goal superbly, looked shattered as usual in the last 20 Parker: 8 - Usual commitment made some excellent tackles such as the one that led to Dyers goal Butt: 8 - Steady performance in the middle. Battled well Sibierski: 8 - Link up play in the first half was superb, good contribution Martins: 9.5 - Loses 0.5 for missing the chance to make his hat trick. Superb game, took his goals brilliantly, good tricks, vision - MOM. Subs: Milner: 6 - Didnt get involved, stuck a good cross in Emre: 6.5 - Couple of good runs, lost the ball a couple of times Roeder: 8 - I was personally quite happy with his line up before the game, shoved Van Gaal's comments about them being superior in the attacking sense down his throat. Second leg obviously open though.

got to disagree ref had a great game i thought the ref had a pretty poor game tbh, he let the game flow but made/did not make some telling decisions! ref had an outstanding game imo. pen was a bit harsh but it did hit taylors arm did it not? yeah it did hit his arm, it was harsh but it was a pen, but i just think overall although he let the game flow he made some poor decisions. our players were just pushed off the ball and the play continued quite a few times.

what was wrong with the line up? there was balance in the team apart from carr starting at left back, i was quite happy with the team.
