Bellamy continued to voice that despite protesting playing out wide, he had never and would never refuse to play in any position. I'm not even sure Souness himself ever said that Bellamy had flatly refused to play, but if he did, forgive me for remaining suspicious. As to the 100% thing, every manager that he had worked with prior to Souness (or post in the case of Hughes/O'Neill, no idea about Rafa) said that his commitment to training and playing was second to none, and that despite a pushy belief in himself driving them and others to distraction, every single one of them would have him in their team and work with him again. He was the same even as a kid according to my uncle. So no, he is clearly no angel (he may even be a complete arse) an but I don't agree that he was the cancer that Souness needed to cut out. Nor do I agree that we were better off as a club losing him in the manner we did, a manner that was all too predictable as soon as Souness laid his first blow soon after he arrived by questioning publicly whether Bellamy was even a proper striker. I do believe he was and still is a very good player who helped push the club closer to tasting success again for a short period, and that what's done is done. I won't boo or bait him for reacting to Souness, a man who it could be could argued was in the end a f*** sight more damaging to NUFC. ok fair enough maybe i shouldnt have said 100% but i think that a lot of people tend to think he was completely innocent when he was a s*** before souness even came. i think that most of the players such as dyer got their act together when souness came in, whereas robert and bellamy were too stubborn to accept the change. Robert was shit even in robsons last season, he was lazy and was a complete liability apart from when we had free kicks, and even they werent that good by the end its just the sheer volume of free kicks he took hes gonna get some on target. His corners were piss poor as well, never beat the first man. bellamy, unfortunatly for us and himself maintained his shit attitude and fucked up. i maintain that both players had to go and souness was right to get rid.

I like how people blame souness for the bellamy situation but he walked all over robson, he had to go and as much as i hated souness i think he was correct in gettin rid of him. There was terrible indiscipline when souness came in and he actually sorted a lot of it out to his credit. I think he was right in gettin rid of him and Robert! Hes a good player but a complete twat!

James Beattie is quite a limited footballer, limited to knocking the ball in. Whereas Lita is more versatile than him, though his primary asset is still is finishing. Lita could appear to be "lazy" at times but when he plays he is a much better player than Beattie. My opinions. Leroys main asset is probably his positioning and the fact that he knows how to find the net, which is obviously a trait of a good striker. Im just not sure if he can keep it up. It would be so weird seeing him play for newcastle for sure!

ANDY f****** GRAY! best pundit/analyst there is tbh. i cannot stand him, i used to think he was ok but i get the impression he just thinks hes the absolute man now. He talks a lot of sense when he's not commentating on games but fucks me off royally when hes commentating.

i saw a game once, think it was on channel 5 where they had bright pink animated advertising boards round the entire pitch!now that was annoying!

to be fair, comarisons between Dyer and Lennon can only really go as far as pace. Dyer is probably better more central and recently in a forward position whereas Lennon is a winger and probably wouldnt do much in a central position wether it be off the striker or centre mid. Dyer is better at finishing than Lennon and probably a bit smoother round the edges overall. With the formation England are playin I'd rather play Dyer than Lennon as one of the forward three if like someone said above, Crouch was brought in. If it was to be a propper winger then it would be Lennon, but if that is the case it'd basically be like playing 4-4-2 with 3 centre mids and a right mid cos Rooney isnt really gonna play as a left winger, which would mean total inbalance.

Unluckily for Emre, England is an English-speaking society! Yep...agree....shouldn't have been so silly...Its such a shame as well because I'm sure the UEFA or FIFA bastards are gonna come in and "make an example of him" and ban him for like 10 games or something.
