I think Newcastle have a nack for ruining players (and im not talkin about luque),for some reason or other a vast majority of the players that come in seem to turn out to be shit. Most of the defenders at our club were actually brought in as quality players, carr from spurs was a good right back, bramble was brought in as a good prospect after a good season, boumsong had a good rep, further back goma, marcelino, woodgate, even baba to a slight extent all had good reputations when they were purchased but ended up shit for us. I think if you look over the years we have attempted to sign quality defenders, but just simply fucked it up!

it is actually hard to believe in all honestly, really really weird. it will be amazing when hes back, there was nothin i enjoyed more when newcastle scored than seein that it was Owen that scored it!!

id rather have my body in working order than a load of money!it would cushion the blow but i still feel sorry for him if true It will just mean he wont play football again surely. He's up and walking, and were not talking small sums of money either. Dean Richard walked away with about £4m IIRC for 3 years at 32, Titus is only 24, and with ten years left on probably the same wage. they have nothing to lose being the underdogs though! that counts for something! And Huntington, Edgar, Pattison, etc. are playing to prove they're good enough at this level. im not saying its a good excuse but the pressure is off for the birmingham youngsters!

A lot of Prem teams just dont have the patience with players nowadays it seems, basically the same situation as luque No, the Luque situation is completely different tongue.gif well to be fair there is no situation like the luque situation!!!!

i personally would have thought tevez would be able to handle the prem better than riquelme, tevez just steamrollered through people in the wc, a good attribute to have in the prem

that sounds most likely to me, this whole situation is a bit odd really, right from the start. My mate supports West Ham and he was over the moon (rightfully) when they signed! its just really strange how its turned out!
