Just looking at a few of the polls in the ticket thread about ballot success, seems just over a 90% failure rate. Roughly speaking that would mean members who apply to every home game (ballot only) could only expect access to 2 or 3 tickets a season, many will be less.

I don’t think lack of effort or selfishness was ever his problem, it was more non-conformism and an inability to just accept whatever football and football people want you to do. Maybe along with artistic or extremely sensitive personality that leads to you being depressed about the state of things, angry when the manager criticises you etc. I don’t know but I don’t think his on-pitch work was ever really the main problem.

All this stuff has a hipster boxy fit as well usually, which doesn’t work on me at all. Fancy the tshirt but not sure it’s a good idea.

I mean, football doesn't admit mavericks, we know and accept this. Probably Cantona with Ferguson is the best example of a manager who was prepared to grant exceptions and special treatment to a player who needed it - but it's extremely rare. I actually think if HBA came through now he might find the football environment a bit easier to operate in. Of course he would have issues with instructions from managers in some circumstances but it would be OK if he wanted to read a book or whatever. Who knows, I would like to read his autobiography one day and find out what he was really thinking about his career.
