I'm just saying that I can image extreme scepticism if Minteh was our RW signing. I wish Minteh well, I just don't get the attachment to someone who never even trained with our first team. I just always assumed he would probably sold for FFP.

But that’s why these signings are made. Take a risk on someone, if they do well you have the option to play them or make a swift profit. Obviously if no player sales at all were required, he would just be kept. But assuming we have to sell a player sometimes, these are the players designed to sell.

I doubt it, too early to expect him to just step in and play to such a high level. Actually I think planning to start Minteh would’ve attracted more criticism than selling him. Can imagine the posts now - young, unproven, only played well in Holland etc.

Yeah, maybe I phrased that wrongly. I just meant someone who is the next level of quality and clearly likely to make it. Albeit I accept that all signings are a risk. We’re a signing away from one of the best forward lines in Europe, it might be worth going a bit bigger than the transfers we’ve made before. I trust the club either way though. Also I like Madueke in isolation and he would improve here.

I think the RW should be a no-doubt mega signing ideally, the question is whether that player is available.

I hadn't though about how annoying it would be to win in the ballot and then join a massive queue like before. I think I'd rather just have a random seat. Guess you don't have to join the queue on the morning if you don't want to, but it has to be tempting.

I don't know how groups of two work now, if you win in the ballot I guess there's a chance there won't be two seats together left by the time you get in.
