Aaron Ramsdale: return to Southampton confirmed
AyeDubbleYoo replied to The Prophet's topic in Football
It's mainly because he has a reputation because of that concentration comment he made IMO. As a player he's pretty good, I watched some videos of England training when he was in the squad a while back and he looked very sharp. He's kind of become a comedy character but it's way exaggerated. And the fact that he's also coming in alongside Pope makes me feel OK about it. Not excited but fine considering where we are. -
Aye quite weird that he hasn't signed for them yet.
-
They need a content style guide
-
Wages aside, why would he choose Man Utd over us?
-
Everyone is assuming every signing will fail. I mean, so far they’ve been right I guess.
-
No he hasn’t.

I’d say we only have 1.5 Pl standard keepers at the moment. -
We should get a new CEO and DOF
-
Do we have an executive team?
-
Has to be.

Can't be as mental as we think. -
Literally never heard of him.
-
I think so, that's his official title IIRC.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin (playing for Leeds United)

If we also sign Sesko, OK. -
I'm assuming the post meant for the new away ticket allocation system? Not sure if it was deliberately on the windup or not. Can't see there ever being a ST waiting list again anyway.
-
Surely away games will never reach 1 loyalty point.
-
Well it's quite obvious that what we have now isn't the planned structure. Our CEO got cancer and our DOF quit right before the window. I'm 90% sure that we will have a professional setup in place before long, it's just not in time for this summer (which admittedly is a failure, especially the CEO).

He's paid less than more successful players that have made moves to richer clubs. That's fair enough, it's just unlucky for him that he signed a 6-year deal at Newcastle. He didn't have to. I don't begrudge him a new deal but it would always have to be something that is affordable for the club. Otherwise it's regrettable for his bank balance but not a crime and not something that justifies being a dick.

Fair point, suppose they’d also be too extreme. -

In a way he actually fits the style of our best recent transfers. Someone who was considered top-level and career or reputation has dipped a bit. -

Well we do, but we can’t get it done now so we’ve changed approach. Nobody said it was exciting. -

Don’t think we should be amplifying that Enoch Powell thing, for many reasons. -

Opinions on keepers seem to more extreme than any other position for some reason. Guess they do tend to be in focus when they make mistakes.
