Pre-season (2025/26) - NUFC to play Atletico Madrid in Sela Cup

Murphy looks absolutely brilliant to have around the squad. Clearly living the dream. -
Well it's all a 3-year rolling process, so presumably the CL revenue we've already had puts us in a bit of a stronger position anyway. A year where we didn't have the CL drops off.

I never made it to White Hart Lane but the Spurs stadium is incredible now. West Ham obviously terrible but they just saw the opportunity for a free ground.
-
FWIW I always thought he was a dickhead.
-
All I care about is the location really, but I’m fairly confident they know how important the city centre is.
-
Yeah, it's because twitter journalists make a living off inventing links.
-
I don't think he's one bad run away from the sack. One disastrous season, maybe.

I despised Klopp as Liverpool manager but I would be tempted by him for England. If the aim is to take the game to people and press the life out of them. Might end up a short-lived experiment though, if we don't win a trophy in the next two tournaments (which we probably won't no matter who the manager is). For this reason I expect them to appoint a sensible continuity candidate like Carsley.

Yeah, can't see at all unless they want him out at a cut price.

Sad thing is fans are starting to buy into this shite about the club being badly run, making loads of mistakes, not backing Howe etc etc. Latest True Faith podcast is absolutely rife with it. Guess it makes people sound intelligent if they are constantly critical and passing judgement, but it has little to do with reality.

Don't even bother picking up the phone ladz.

Not playing this year, ruins the Prem.
-
Don’t think even he would claim his plan was to maximise the attacking numbers. His plan was to grind and hope someone would win us the trophy.
-
Hasn’t even been England's best player. Maybe not many other fullbacks I guess.
-
You think he should’ve quit just before the euros?
-
It's very easy to forget how dire it was to manage and support England before Southgate came in. Success was not being rubbish from what I remember. I think there's a good chance the FA don't care enough about winning a trophy to risk getting back into the market for big-name managers and they just appoint from within instead.
-
Isn't he a workaholic though? Would be quite a character change to go for a part time job where he can't develop players or see them every day.
-
I'm bored of pointing out that international management isn't for top-tier coaches who have successful club careers.
-
Exactly, he's an English manager who is good so he's going to be 'linked' (whatever the fuck that means) but logically he has just started the project of his life here and there's very little chance he's going to walk out on that just before a new season.

Nothing has changed FFS, we knew Southgate was going to resign

Looks pretty terrible with things like the spacing and size of the sponsor and the connection of the stripes etc over the shoulders. Maybe just the photo.
