  1. Don't wanna be, all by myself.
  2. For £4m he'd surely be gettable, even for us. Hope this link is true anyway.
  3. I like him, I think his problems in the Premier League are mainly mental. Hope he does OK but not too well.
  4. Yeah, I fear we will, unless we end up making a lot more money this season. And even then we still might.
  5. Sometimes I think Twitter is the best invention ever, sometimes the worst. We seem to be on the wrong end of it at the moment, except the comedy Shola account.
  6. The papers say yes and no I think, as usual.
  7. Wouldn't say that like. Out would be - Routledge, Nolan, Enrique, Carroll, Barton, Campbell (does he even count??) And in would be - Abied, Cabaye, New LB, Ba, Marveaux That's IF we only signed a replacement left back, IMO we'll get a striker as well. I don't disagree that the situation isn't good, but you could pop Gosling and Ben Arfa on the new list really.
  8. It's hardly asset stripping if he's repaying money he's already lent to the club. And interest free as well.
  9. I've just read this thread back and realised the last three pages are all about me! FWIW I think people ignore the bits of my posts where I think Ashley has made loads of mistakes, and the bits where I say I think he should probably spend more. Also the posts where I say not having a replacement for Enrique lined up would be massively incompetent. It's not like I even support the guy, I just think that his drive to run us in a financially sensible way is not a bad thing. It annoyed me more when we were spending millions on Boumsong and Luque. The problem is you can't include some sort of barcode on every post that downloads your entire qualified opinion about Mike Ashley. The thing I don't believe is that he has some sort of mind control over the media and he would bother using it to do things like make up our link to Erdinc just to keep the public sweet. That obviously hasn't worked! Anyway, enough meta-debate.
  10. That's why the Fulham fans sing songs in favour of their owner at every match, he probably has more support amongst his fans than any other owner in the league. Saying all the above I'm not sure how many fans will buy the Michael Jackson range: http://shop.fulhamfc.com/retailprods.aspx?cat=139&h=56 I was joking about the statue like. The range is amazing, I might buy something from it myself.
  11. Following relegation, it could have been a lot, lot worse than that. And the person most responsible for our relegation being... Yeah, I know he's responsible, I'm just saying we did alright to bounce back. If he gets the criticism he should have to take some of the credit for that as well. Whether the players going out this summer will have undone that good work remains to be seen. I do think the players need to take a large slice of the blame for our relegation as well though. A lot of them performed a long long way below their best, and Ashley isn't solely to blame for that.
  12. Could well be a baptism of fire against Gervinho mind. Gervinho looked very good in the Emirates cup, seemed to have a good understanding with Van Persie in particular.
  13. Don't we also have to consider the fact that in the next few seasons we'll probably go back to making a loss and budget for that? Because we won't sell another player for £30m I mean. I don't know much about business accounting, so humour me please! We should be able to avoid losses if we stay in the Premiership and run on our current model. Right, interesting. Is that even without a big player sale like Carroll? Yes I reckon. Cheers.
  14. Yeah, if Johnson had gone somewhere he would play every week I've no doubt he would be starting for England and top clubs all over the world would be looking at him. Still, it must be incredibly hard to turn down such massive money, and if you believe in your ability you can maybe deny the fact that someone better will be signed pretty soon.
  15. I bought Michael Johnson from City on Pro Evo, he turned out well.

    Alan Pardew

You'll always have differing opinions, personally, I'd rather not be lied to by anyone involved with the club and if that means hearing nothing, so be it. That's absolutely fine.
  19. Well to arrange a meeting or whatever, you know what I meant man.
  20. Maybe it took three weeks to get a permission to talk to him, another couple to track him down, and another couple for him to decide on our offer.
  21. Indeed, also those quotes are from ages ago and probably in response to a specific question from a reporter. Don't see what the point was in bringing them up at all really.

    Alan Pardew

He could start by not saying stuff instead of making promises he can't keep. Theres a reason you never get a real answer from Hughton. Yes, lack of communication is always well appreciated by our fans. If you'd rather the listen to the nonsense from Pardew than what you got from Hughton enjoy it It's not me whingeing about lack of communication or examining Pardew's comments with a magnifying glass for discrepancies. All a load of fuss over minor details if you ask me. Spot on. Also IIRC, wasn't Hughton criticised for never saying anything? Might be wrong.
  23. At least he could reduce the 'lying prick' scale down to 9. True, although developments indicate he's not that worried about that!
  24. The amount of stick Ashley gets while paying money into the club would surely be nothing compared to the abuse if he was actually paying himself back.
