I actually like the stance the club are taking over the press at the moment. It's about time they realised they can't print any old shite and get away with it.

By the way, couple of embarrassing dives by Nasri and Chamakh in the first few minutes... they were very lucky to get away without bookings. -

Great to have another game so soon... should be on a proper high. If we play like we can then we will beat them... I'm confident we can do it. The lads will be due a rapturous reception at SJP as well. Just would love to stuff it in Big Sam's face - hate the man. -
It's been a long time since we were actually competent at set pieces, it feels good to not be shitting myself every time one is given against us. And corners for are a million miles better than normal, we have so many targets in the box and Carroll is almost unplayable in there. A big part of this is also the size of the team now... we've gone from being a team of piss-weak dwarves to one of the biggest and strongest sides around.

I did as well, I really thought he was going to have to off.

Well the top is really decided before the season starts, just because it's obvious who the best teams are. The rest this season is really hard to predict. After 11 games we're 5th, but only 5 points away from the bottom 3. I think it will take a lot longer than usual to sort out this season, I'd say about 25 games before we start to see who's likely to go down and survive.

The shirt is his now IMO. As long he doesn't look a liability then Harps will have to wait his turn.

Couple of dodgy kicks today, but overall great performance. I'd give a bottle of champagne for that save alone.
-
I would absolutely love this to happen!

Full credit to the man today, you could see what his plan was and it worked. He also managed to keep faith in the 442 while tweaking it to protect the midfield a bit more. Stuff like that is a much better way to manage than putting out a 451 and sending the lads out with the wrong mindset. He also seems a master of motivation as well, I've rarely seen a player look as convincing as Barton after the game today... when he was talking about every player being totally behind each other.
-
He was quiet today but it wasn't a match where our attacking players could expect much quality possession. We should have no worries about him in general, great member of the team.

The funny thing about Arsenal was that they seemed to lose their patience in the second half... they started launching balls forward and clipping Nicky Butt-style aimless balls over the top. If they'd kept the ball down and kept moving it around they might well have scored. Still, great performance by us in general... we could have conceded but overall we all fought like lions to get the point. It was a bit frustrating at times to see us not getting forward, but can obviously understand why. Judging by Barton's comments the spirit in the camp is probably the best it's been in recent times, and as long as we've got that we should be able to pull off plenty more good results this season. -

Cocaine-fueled orgies all round! -
Does anyone know how to pronounce "Delfouneso" properly? Can't be "Delfonzo", surely?

In a parellel universe maybe, in reality this is asking for a hiding. -
I don't normally like to mock, but that's amazing.
-
Beresford in particular was very poor from what I remember, we conceded a massive amount of our goals down his flank.
-
Carr was rank, absolutely terrible... amazing that he's still playing in the Premier League.
-
We got to the Champions League with an absolutely terrible defence. On paper it looks embarrassing now.
-
Also, he wouldn't have to see Harry Redknapp's face every day.
-
Can't criticise them for giving away tickets to kids IMO. If we were struggling for crowds I'd like us to do the same. It's not like you can force people to come to the match, always thought judging clubs by their attendances is a bit stupid.
