I've got a ticket in the Reading fans, left it too late to book. Just hoping the game's on now!

Nicky Butt fears this could be his last season

and what would he coach? The patented Nicky Butt graceful forward chip, resulting in the ball being lost. -

About six inches of snow in Reading at the moment. I guess the ground will be OK, but transport will be very difficult... and the Madejski is in a terrible out of town location. -

If only he'd decided this about 4 years ago. -
His compensation fee will be more than we will spend, plus there will be at least 10 better teams after him I know, I know, just wondering!
-
Without Rooney it probably would happen, luckily he's a robust fucker. Also, Valencia looks to be a very astute signing.
-
It would be interesting I suppose, but only in addition to the domestic league. I suppose you could replace the Champions League with a kind of ongoing European league structure. Would probably require far too many fixtures though. As the only league a club is involved in? No way.
-
Their aura of a 'super-team' is now starting to slip I think, even if it's caused by a temporary injury crisis it might turn out to harm them in the longer term as well. Teams now aren't as scared of facing Man Utd, and that might have long lasting consequences.
-
Agreed, the biggest danger is that we overpay for him and he can't cut it in the premiership. He's a late developer though by all accounts, so still should have time to improve.
-
No chance of getting Johnson from Boro? His contract is up in the summer as well, non? Not sure if premiership clubs are after him, but would be worth at least trying.
-
We badly need a striker who can actually move around the pitch and make some decent runs. We need a few other things as well, but it's definitely a weakness of ours.

Real Madrid weigh up bid for Fabricio Coloccini
AyeDubbleYoo replied to Thespence's topic in Football
This is the feeling I get. I have grown to him this season but it is very important to remember the standard of this league compared to the top flight. But didn't Coloccini play well at the start of last season against the likes of Man Utd for example? I think it has to do more with confidence than with ability and that with the confidence he gains this season he will be a much better player next season. Think you've got a fair point as well, it's amazing how confidence can transform players. Look at how Titus Bramble was doing recently. I hope you're right, and I hope Colo stays. All I'm saying is that he might want to cash in when his reputation is pretty much restored. -

For his career it might best for him to leave now if he gets a decent offer. Can't help but think that he'll get turned inside out every week if we get promoted, and might well look like a shambles again. Hope I'm wrong of course. -
Seems he's another player who had visions of grandeur when he left Newcastle, only to spend the rest of his career knocking around nothing clubs. Decent player mind.
-
I would have said definitely sign Simpson a couple of weeks ago, but after a woeful display against Derby I would be much more cautious. Probably trying to extend his loan is the best option.

Just booked a ticket in the Reading fans, going incognito. I've got a Reading membership card as I used to live there, luckily as toon tickets are sold out. If you see a dude jumping up in the home fans when we score, that'll be me! -

Got to say Reading are looking very poor. We are as well, but think we might just edge it. -
Another one - Our most overrated player of the last decade......

Nolan's closing in on the title at the moment I reckon, apart from goals he's absolute garbage. -
He's probably about right, but he's the last person who should be commenting on anyone else's lifestyle. Can't help him in the dressing room either.

This is literally insane, the idea that one of the 20 most successful clubs in the country can go bust just shows how crazy the spending and debt in the game (and society) has become. It can't last forever, all these companies making massive losses. -
None of those figures are significant numbers really. Massive improvement over the last couple of decades, everyone deserves a pat on the back. Except Fulham mind, only 13? Pussies.
