  1. Completely agree with this, the decision over Kinnear is key at the end of the season. Until then we should just stop whinging on and let them try to sort things out.
  2. The faster Owen, and those of his kind are out of the club the better. We want young, hungry players with something to prove, not players relying on their reputation, and sitting on a mountain of cash. What, like Xisco? Yeah because he has really had a chance. Not his fault the deal was made in the way it was. Wise clearly thought he was good enough. For all we know he might be good enough, Kinnear might just not fancy him because he doesn't speak very good English yet.
  3. And people say we want communication from the club! They can't win either way. I don't give a shit about communication - all I wanted is some indication of intent to progress (or even not go down) - they comprenhensively failed to do that in January. If all you're going by is actions then fair enough, I'm not arguing that January was a massive success.
  4. Well obviously it won't be OK, but I thought we were talking about communication and all the quotes you highlighted? Nobody is happy with the current position of the club FFS, certainly not me. Difference is some of us aren't already planning suicide because of a bad few months... and we don't choose to rant on about an owner that is now here to stay.

  6. The changing circumstances are them fucking things up at every opportunity though. It's not chaos. A butterfly didn't flap it's wings in mackemland which led to a profit in the last two transfer windows and the threat of relegation. Even if that was true it would mean they weren't lying or misleading the fans at the time, so your original post would still be pointless. I don't disagree that they've made some fairly big mistakes BTW, I've never argued otherwise.
  7. Very little in that Happy Face post is actually contradictory and probably none of it is deliberately misleading. Most of it seems to just be changing circumstances and events (i.e. Sam leaving) that we don't know the details of and/or who had knowledge of it at various points.
  8. You've hit the nail on the head there, Bob. I've been saying that for months, there's very little they could have said that would have helped matters. Quite encouraged by those new articles, that's about as much as we could expect any club to reveal. What they say about getting the losses down and not running the club on credit is also very timely.
  9. And he agreed to leave, but no-one wants to buy the club, he would have sold it if they did, whats the point in telling him to do something he can't possibly do. I forgot they were formed after that which is a fair point and yes they probably can't be blamed if we go down but it does impact on the players when they know the fans aren't happy so they'll feel under more pressure and make more mistakes. I completely agree with you, I've said loads of times that I dislike NUSC and their current protests are completely futile and at worst harmful. Just saying they didn't organise the protests that erupted immediately after KK walked. Yes, I accept that now. I wish I'd gone to that bloody meeting now, was this mentioned at the meeting? There's an MP3 of the whole thing somewhere in another thread. I listened to the whole thing, got the impression that very few people who held our point of view spoke up, and those that did (argue against protests) were 'listened to' then ignored and the protest was arranged anyway. The whole premise of NUSC is wrong, it fundamentally doesn't allow or enable any other viewpoint.

  11. The original backlash protests weren't organised by NUSC though, they just happened organically. NUSC set themselves up after that to be a focal point for getting Ashley out.
  12. Nobody ever holds a rally in support of an owner though do they? Just because I'm not parading a 'I heart Ashley' banner round the Monument doesn't make my views any less valid. More important are the 100s of thousands of fans who won't be on the rally, and the 40,000 or so who will be just going to the ground to support the team - like they should be doing.
  13. Terrible idea but unavoidable, NUSC are like a bull in a china shop, thrashing about flexing their muscles and doing nothing but damage.
  14. Don't think there's such a thing as a 'top 4 player', by definition all of Villa's players would be exactly that if they finished there. All there are are top 4 teams, and Villa are certainly one of those at the moment. Even Man Utd have players like Brown, O'Shea, Park and Fletcher that you might not consider 'top 4 players', but they're going to run away with the title by a mile. You just need a balanced, dynamic team - and that is exactly what O'Neil is building.
  15. Surely this has been the least predictable season for a while, the league is so tight and Liverpool are making a decent fist of it. And Villa's performance has been beyond expectations. Maybe Man Utd will win it again, but I don't think it's been boring at all.
  16. He could do with giving Eboue a good slagging in the press, the lad has got a screw loose and needs sorting out ASAP.
  17. Oops, I take it back then, soz.
  18. Nobody should be given a premiership club as their first job in management, it's madness. And as you say Adams is definitely a 'unique' character... there's always something weird about him when he gives interviews.
  19. Defoe being out is a big blow as well... but somehow I just can't see them going down. They seemed to play well on MOTD last night, sure they've got enough to stay up.
  20. I think he did a decent job at West Brom, mainly in the first half. He does make defenders uncomfortable, even if he doesn't always have the ability to take advantage of it!
  21. I shouldn't comment anyway, I didn't even see the interview in question.
  22. In the media... Playing for Newcastle = badly treated little angel. Playing for Wigan = whinging little runt.
  23. It's horrible like, I don't think we were wrong to sell him in the circumstances but it did feel horrible to see him in the City shirt.
  24. To be fair, it is possible that he missed the Eboue thing - it was off the ball and wasn't immediately obvious in real time.
