  1. Why would a premiership team be bidding for Carroll? Can't be true, surely.
  2. Looked positive and tried a lot more positive passes than most of our team. Seems to have a bit of a swagger about him, definitely a Chelsea player and not a Newcastle one.
  3. He's our best CM by a mile, but obviously the competition is fucking terrible. Like Nolan he's lacking physically, and always seems out of his depth in tackles etc. Also seems to take too long to make decisions.
  4. If it was up to me we would always go 442 with the two wingers and without Butt and Nolan. But to be fair, you could argue that he's kept the scoreboard ticking over without taking risks and has settled for draws without risking defeat to get some more wins. Seems especially true of away games. It'll be interesting to see what he does with Jonas back and Routledge in, but some of the criticism is a bit harsh IMO.
  5. Carroll looks rank at the moment, terrible performance. As usual Butt, Nolan and Smith were poor (Guthrie as well actually). Can only think that Jonas wasn't able to play at all, in which case he shouldn't have been on the bench. With a proper 442 with Routledge and Jonas and a decent striker we would have taken all 3 points.
  6. Think he probably will go for the two wide players now they're done to 10 - if Jonas is fit enough for it.
  7. A couple more than the third place team would be good.
  8. Craven Cottage is a great stadium IMO, I love it there. The neutral area is weird like.
  9. I hope he is better than Jose by a factor of 20 and we sign him for a button and a pecan nut. Maradona wasn't that good.
  10. Fingers crossed you're right mate. Fo' shizzle.
  11. That would be the version I most hope is true - it would show that Hughton is becoming a decent manager and that Ashley is backing him. Both of which we want.
  12. You're right, the current signings are decent but that would be another level of purchase.
  13. Nice to see their webite is sponsored by Jobsite and carries advertising for a wheelie bin company. Both things they will need over the next few weeks.
  14. UV, I realise that nobody really knows, but it's a bit harsh to choose to believe that the whole squad was up for sale and it was just luck to hold onto them. Surely Taylor and Enrique would have been snapped up, and Colo and/or Jonas would have gone to Spain or somewhere like that. Especially if we were accepting any half-decent bids as some people seem to think. And a minor injury wouldn't stop anyone buying S Taylor in January either, if he was being peddled around.

    That deserves a at least.
  16. He's only saying what the tabloids will be saying very shortly!
  17. Don't get the feeling we are even thinking about outgoings. Would be mental to keep te core of the team together last summer and let a couple of key players go in January.
  18. I know, if it was anyone other than Ashley I would have to say he's learning from his mistakes.
  19. The way today is going we'll have tied up deals for Lampard and Gerrard by 5pm... don't worry about it.
