He's the best any PL team can get, until you get to the level of Alisson and Ederson world-class elite goalkeepers. When we make that step, who knows.

I don’t see why we should creep. Are we thinking we’ll continue to play as bad as yesterday? -
Are refs told to protect the brand?

That’s never a handball

Macguire was only battling his own players

If someone goes and wins all their remaining games, fair play. Otherwise we just need to concentrate on ourselves and see where we end up, I’m more concerned about how we play than anything else. -
I think I need to watch a few games back just focusing on Longstaff, because I really don’t see all of this unsung hero work he does. Happy to admit I’m a little biased against him though, so I’m probably wrong. I definitely notice all his mistakes

We’re still the best team in the race apart from Brighton IMO.

Watkins is very good like, think injuries have hampered him a lot. -

Ultimately Longstaff is our weakest midfielder, but a lot depends on how the current 3 can handle the sitting role and covering spaces. -

I’ve been wanting to see the midfield without Longstaff, will be interesting. Murphy/Gordon doesn’t fill me with excitement but we will see. -

Sounds like an Adam P travel blog. -
Joeninho would better, and means little Joe so works with Joelinton. I'm not Brazilian like, so I'll defer to Bruno.
-
Since I heard that he hired his own coach under Bruce it's been clear that he's 100% professional and committed to getting better. Class act. No matter the manager or coaches, no-one could make the progress he has done without that commitment.
-
Howe's not going to punish Gordon for the sake of it if they've had a productive talk (as he said they had in his press conference). He'll pick him if he thinks it's right for the team.

Under Bruce I didn't care either way. -
We've become way too lenient on yellow cards IMO, especially second yellows. Every game there's several fouls I would give a booking for, especially if they happen early in the game. Not that I want people to be sent off, but I do if they can avoid that by not making two bad fouls.

Yeah, goal line tech is fine. Offsides are alright but I don't think the spirit of the offside rule is reflected in the way it is applied down to the millimetre now. Maybe for offside we could look into ways to change the rule so that perfectly good goals aren't disallowed for someone leaning the wrong way. Like handball, that's probably an example of technology showing up that the rule itself isn't fit for purpose.

Players have been abusing refs since well before VAR. I would personally have gone with accepting that refs make mistakes and that decisions are subjective, rather than trying to pretend a replay can solve anything. Especially one so badly implemented. I find it difficult to believe there's any difference between our refs and other countries, doesn't seem to make much sense. It's possible they have better VAR implementations though.

I wouldn’t buy anyone with that fitness record personally.

Burn does attack in moments mind, he's just not very good at it. Think they key would be someone who could be intelligent and disciplined enough to follow the plan, while being a bit better on the ball.

Forgot Ramsay played for Nice. That's the other Thuram innit? Marcus is the one we've been linked with. Agree about the hair though.
