  1. Realistically that’s the only way to do what he’s done though, and it’s still very easy to fail at those clubs.
  2. I just prefer Man City. I would like variety maybe if it was someone genuinely new winning it. Arsenal winning it wouldn’t please me at all.
  3. I don’t really care, but I definitely don’t prefer Arsenal. I could watch Man City play all day and the way they evolve is amazing.
  4. That’s why I love Man City, because of Pep and his incredible style. I couldn’t ever dislike them winning the league when they’re playing this well.
  5. Kompany should bring Burnley up and have a season in the PL.
  6. I think I would probably go the other way and have the larger flags without the mass ones. Leave the majority of fans to watch, twirl scarves, sing, and get psyched up. Have the bigger flags and banners to inspire them. But either is class.
  7. You're absolutely right, I just can't quite get over the nerves.
  8. Yeah, personally I always prefer possession football but I’m not sure it is Howe’s way. Just giving the ball away less would be an improvement.
  9. I think his driving forward with the ball and covering ground is very underrated. He would probably occupy the middle slot but I think his style in terms of attack/defence would probably be closer to Bruno than someone who purely just sits. Even Rodri is getting goals and assists these days. I think it's very unlikely we can get Rice anyway, but I think it would be an injection of presence and quality that would really take us to another level.
  10. Bad news for someone, but doesn’t mean they’re good.
  11. Not sure, some major weaknesses, most obviously at the back.
  12. That would be a significant change in style.
  13. Oh, I meant ‘they’ as in the city of Manchester or whatever is symbolised by the ship. Not any specific people.
  14. Well, not quite. If the ship is celebrating some industrial history of Manchester that was based on the slave trade, it might be a problematic symbol in the view of some people, even if the city in general then did excellent work on abolition at a later date.
  15. Celebrating anything to do with British industrial history of that era is always going to bring you very close to some very dodgy industries and wealthy families built off colonialism, slavery and exploitation. Definitely not exclusive to Manchester.
  16. But even they did great work for abolition, that wouldn't necessary mean they didn't benefit hugely from slavery and/or the ships aren't slave ships, would it? I don't know the details like, but in principle.
  17. They're a poor team basically, yet they have a couple of annoying players who can still win a game for them. Hopefully we can score 2 or 3 so a spawny Kane goal won't win it for them.
  18. Those totals would mean it going to the last day, which I would really rather it didn't.
  19. No team is guaranteed to perform to CL level, someone else could just as easily have a nightmare next season. If you collect the amount of points you will be in the mix.
  20. Always thought he seemed very normal and boring for a footballer. Can’t even choose a trendy haircut.
