  1. Yeah, but we all know (except Gareth) that Foden isn't his best on the left, especially alongside a forward like Kane who likes to drop deep. And a player like Bellingham also being told to occupy the same space.
  2. I think most players in the PL favour one foot to an extent you wouldn’t really expect for the best few hundred footballers in the world. I still think wingers playing on the wrong side just annoys the fans.
  3. The benefit of ST holders to the club is mainly accounting certainty at the moment I guess, with demand this high they really are losing money in absolute terms. Nice to have some income guaranteed, but not at too high a cost.
  4. I like Elanga but he’s not the level we need to solve the position really. He’s a bit better than the options we have.
  5. Maybe I’m assuming the worst about how hard it’s going to be then.
  6. I don’t think there’s any point in a waiting list right now, you’d have 30,000 people on it immediately, with no new tickets in prospect. Maybe when we expand and sell more STs, they can form a waiting list from the unsuccessful people. But still, no idea how position would be decided.
  7. Well, he speaks very freely and confidently, the downside being he might make a mistake where another player would be keeping quiet and delivering meaningless cliches. I’m not saying he will, just a possible negative.
  8. If he can get some more gardening leave he probably would.
  9. How come we don’t like Kane any more?
  10. Bellingham has to play deeper for me. No harm in easing him in gradually either, he's just a kid.
  11. Imagine if someone had said when he signed that he'd be our most intelligent player
  12. Such a smart lad. Only negative I can see is he might get overconfident because of his intelligence, but no real evidence of that at the moment.
  13. Nobody sings the anthem for a lot of nations. They just stand there.
  14. There’s never been any doubt he’s an absolutely class player.
  15. But we always overpay for our signings and they all come from England, so I'm confused.

    Marc Guehi

Doesn't mean he didn't want to come though, just was basically in a win-win situation where if he didn't get a move now he'll get a slightly better one (for him personally) later.
  17. Didn't our top brass try very hard to buy Guehi?
  18. Gabriel and Saliba are the most similar statistically apparently.
  19. I wouldn't expect any player to move for any reason other than they want to and it's a good deal for them. It's the job of the club to find that sale if they want a player out. That said, in American sports it seems like you just get told you're getting traded and you're moving from Miami to Detroit
