Right now he has to play, I don’t think there’s any debate about that. I’d be tempted to try White but I understand why we won’t.
-
Tonali was a direct replacement and one of our major signings. Longstaff had a short period playing above his level but his fundamental ability level is very low.

We should obviously avoid too much reaction to any player's mistakes, but you have to be realistic. I think 'limited' is a bit generous a term really. I would say someone like Burn is limited... good at certain things but has weaknesses and can't do certain things well. Longstaff is 'poor' rather than limited, he doesn't have any particular strengths and doesn't have a position that he's good at. That said, I feel bad always posting about how shit he is so I will try to leave off The idea was for him to be a sub when Tonali got tired, so he really shouldn't be playing.
-
I'm not so sure like, most games he does almost nothing to contribute and sometimes actively helps the opposition.
-
He's better than he's playing now but still not good enough for the PL.
-
Don’t forget he’s scouse.

Martin Dúbravka (now playing for Burnley)

I’m not sure, possibly but it usually doesn’t work like that. Some people are considered second choice and some third, it takes a lot to change it. -

Im sure Karius knows he’s here to be third choice. -
I just think he’s not a good player in this league. No offence to the lad. Tonali was meant to be his replacement.

Would be class if we could nab Mainoo in the management changeover chaos.

From Aliança and from Rio to Newcastle upon Tyne, a home away from home. Joelinton and Bruno, our Brazilian Geordies. Had to get a bit of help from the wife -

Half of the players are more suitable for a relegation side TBF. -
I know what you mean but that’s harsh on Joelinton. We do need one more control option though, I agree.

Worth remembering this while discussing the Palace lineup. -
He's never going to thrive in games where we can't put two passes together.

Probably only one of them should be starting this season TBH, maybe none if we had a more settled season and Hall had been introduced earlier. Just have to accept that we have half a team that is not PL quality and therefore we can lose to anyone. -

Dire from him. -
But not too much
-
Even at Everton it was clear he would give anything to succeed, maybe he was trying too hard at times. That's why I was fully on board with the signing, he was easy to dislike but mainly because he would do anything to help Everton win. Seems like Howe has successfully managed to moderate the instincts he had and get him on the right path. Class lad.

It's a truism that any Newcastle player is going to leave if Real Madrid offer £100m. It's pointless thinking about it.

The rumours won’t go away because people like Luke need a job.
