Showed great fitness for that goal as well, didn’t struggle at all to make up the ground and get over the ball to finish it. Excellent stuff.

Always had class, I had doubts about his defending but any CB would struggle playing in a unit that was that bad. Defending is a group activity.

Man Utd situation is weird, going for a manager who really seems like he wants to be a director, and they know he won’t be manager soon. Guess we know how short real managers were when we needed one, but it’s a strange one for me.

My favourite was a little reverse pass into the middle of the pitch, where he kind of knocked it softly into an area for someone to run onto. Lovely awareness and bravery to execute it.

He speaks very well too, can see him being a manager.

Speaks volumes for him that he’s been able to keep going and bounce back. And for Howe that he worked with him and didn’t just bin him off PFM-style.
