  1. I meant 'fan experience' more in terms of the customer experience of joining as a member and obtaining tickets for matches. What it feels like to be a member of the club who wants to go to games. Nobody is trying to decide on an individual basis who is and isn't a fan, it's more about the systems that could be put in place to tip the balance one way or another. We know the club probably won't do this, because they could already and haven't. But I think it would be a positive measure for most fans.
  2. It's very strange that you can get a ticket for Brentford up to 4 or 5k in the queue but Sunderland or Barcelona is sold out at 400.
  3. I didn't admit the minimal impact, I said we don't know the impact. Also if the impact is small then it shouldn't impact PSR very much? I would personally do it just because it's the right thing to do for our fans. I think this is the problem with ticketing being (presumably) purely under the business part of the club rather than anything close to fan experience. As I've said many times, there's probably not a business case for absolutely anything to do with ticketing or touting - the status quo is fine financially for the club. Same reason we have a disgraceful ticketing website and not even the ability to write a decent line of copy on an interface. But we are discussing what they should do to make the process fairer and more accessible for fans.
  4. Very harsh on a young lad.
  5. As long as it's not Man City I'm alright.
  6. Well only the club will know how many people sign up during the season, we're obviously speculating. It's about the principle of making sure people like opposition fans and touts can't sign up for memberships. The cost is the same whether you buy your membership pre-season or during, it doesn't make attending a match any more or less expensive. You might be right that touts will find a way around, or just buy 100 memberships at the start of the season. But on the other hand that kind of purchase behaviour might be easier to track and ban. And anyway, nobody is saying it's the one solution, it's just part of the measures that could be taken. Obviously the ultimate answer is 25k more tickets, as we all know
  7. That’s not really a valid distinction between paying for membership and paying more for tickets. Money can’t justify any decision. By that logic why not double ST prices or make membership a monthly subscription or something? There’s loads of ways they could charge more but don’t because it’s unacceptable. The point is that you give people a period to renew or buy membership so that you can be confident they are actual fans and aren’t just signing up for a specific game. And also that that can’t register easily again after being banned for touting etc. I guess the age thing will affect a small minority, maybe you could allow child members to upgrade etc. Don’t think that’s a major worry.
  8. I think Elanga is actually supposed to be a technical upgrade and someone who can hurt teams in different ways to Murphy. He's just been shit.
  9. Always wonder how there’s so many coked-up young lads at away games.
  10. The amount of people at the match who shout shoot when there’s absolutely no chance to score is more my worry.
  11. In theory you're right, I just know we need events on the pitch to motivate the fans at SJP. The events in the game usually come before the atmosphere.
  12. I think he is more of a CB, maybe just playing more FB because he's a young lad coming through.
  13. Aye, Tonali had a go at him when he was lying on the ground, but I don't know why.
  14. I think we all know what we were getting into. Turn up because you have to, hopefully see some goals or young players, go home. Not sure what kind of atmosphere could possibly have been created.
  15. Down on page 2 after putting in about 4 times as much work as any other player.
  16. It's definitely not a plan to covert him permanently to a midfielder in the manner of Joelinton. That would be crazy and also I'm sure Nick wouldn't have it, rightly so.
  17. Have backed him a lot but starting to lose hope a bit. When you can't get involved in the game against these it's worrying.
  18. He got dropped for really no reason when Wissa got fit.
  19. Came in expecting to read how well he'd done
  20. Always check to the left when I read a really silly post.
  21. Bueno is class but I thought he was a RB for some reason.
  22. But Howe didn’t say he was converting him to a midfielder, did he? I thought he said he always saw him as a deeper-lying forward? It’s not really anything like Joelinton.
  23. I was really close to the pitch at the opposite end so I couldn't really even see them. Knew what was going to happen though, it was dire.
