    Nabil Bentaleb

Is it in an area we need? Cannot remember him from spurs so other than it being low risk in a loan seems we have more pressing needs in the striker and left back department especially as we need to free up squad numbers

Wiki page is a worry. On 24 February 2017, Tottenham Hotspur announced that they had reached an agreement with Schalke 04 for Bentaleb's transfer to be made permanent at the end of the loan period.[19][20] In March 2019 he was demoted to Schalke's under-23 team, "due to disciplinary reasons".[21] He returned to the first-team in April 2019,[22] before being dropped to the second team again later that month.[23]
  3. We doing a rate the window thread or not? Looking like AC will be it for incoming seen as mystery midfield rumours died early doors believing media reported fees we ain't done too bad to have an out lay of 30/35 million which I thought the owner would never sanction. However no real certainties with any of the signings and still short on quality in places. The bench/ backup seems so weak when we are 2 or 3 down not sure who comes in to turn it around or strongest 11 depending on how they gell and form may still give any under the top 8 a good run for their money. Suspensions and injuries on mass and we are in deep trouble. Running out of squad places with players seemingly no one keen to take is a secondary concern for the next couple of windows.
  4. So he has scored a similar amount of goals as Joelinton but has a big opinion of himself and potential to throw toys out of the pram... glad we signed him join the fun house
  5. Totally unfair. Modern day football has seen a move to the all action pressing style exemplified by Klopp and Poch. Wor Steve is way ahead of the game and is preparing his lads to run the other teams down like hunting dogs. Just wait til the opposition see ginger Jack charging at them at 11mph. Will need to do alot of running when they are out thought, out gunned, out styled and outclassed running around like headless chickens after the ball they see zip past them. But "Wor Steve" will be proud with the work rate and never giving up attitude of his championship team.
  6. If by some miracle short or medium term it does "work" it will be far more to do with the players brought in under Rafa and the ideas/1-1/ coaching he gave than anything Bruce comes up with.
  7. If he has control of transfers someone needs to ask why HE didn't want rondon...... oh wait I know the answer he has no say on transfers or chooses from a Dutch pile of shite or a french pile of shite name structure and priorty level not his remit in other words at most he contributes some back ground noise when they deciding without him.
  8. Just imagine if our next step isn't to move on to next "manager" target but stick with our setup as is until January......
  9. Is Douglas changing his tune then? From not imminent to imminent perhaps? Does he now know its happening? He has been vocal about doubting this deal all along. I recon its either him back peddling because he knows something or simply hedging his bets. The 3x tweet collection indicates he has no new news but has always been a let's wait and see kind of person regards the take over which is pure bollocks.
  10. TBF even if the tweet is real (account with over 100k followers) the translation is a bit trickey as putting into google it states "final proceeds" which could mean minutes, days, weeks away.
  11. I know we still don't know much about the new prospective owners and by no means does personal wealth = club spending but if it went through where would they rank in terms of wealth in the league?
  12. They have the fall out good or bad articles written for days, where do we go from here, what now etc etc gotta fill column inches somehow with 2 pr 3 snippets of info
  13. especially as the first window may be the biggest level of spending we have ever done with big wages and big fees, if we get a new manager in and we turn into a chelsea always changing managers we run the risk of holding on to some very expensive dead wood. Stick to who knows the club has proven to run a good team on a shoe string who has also worked with medium and large budgets.
  14. When press quote senior officials I have zero clues as to who they are the board consists of the chairman who is the wipping boy and Ashley the only ones in the know are Ashley and his advisors/ legal team. He is under no obligation to keep anyone in the loop good or bad as he owns us "for now" lock stock and barrel
  15. And more Rafa first picks rather than Rafa "if I must" option 25 on the list if I am being sensibly greedy
  16. Or its rondon and not him he means: After Rondon was named player of the year at Newcastle, the question on securing the striker on a permanent deal also came up. Benitez said: "It is easy to say we have to sign him. "But still we have to see what is going on with me! "In 10 days we will know what is going on." Although in 10 days it will only be known whether West Brom have made the play-off final or not.
  17. Chron: Benitez said: "We have one game to play and have to try to do well. "We can finish one position higher in the table and we will try to do that. "After that, we will know. "I have some players asking me questions but still I don’t know. "If we have waited eight months, we can wait another 10 days."
  18. Was Alan Smith brought in originally as a striker? If so him.
  19. We needed 4 and got 2 both of which are a unknown quantity in the league, fitness and time to adapt limiting their games for the season means a 4 for me.
  20. Areet Mike, buy some players. Sorry too busy buying retail at the minute that's what the transfer market is for right?
  21. Football offences act 2Throwing of missiles. It is an offence for a person at a designated football match to throw anything at or towards— (a)the playing area, or any area adjacent to the playing area to which spectators are not generally admitted, or (b)any area in which spectators or other persons are or may be present, without lawful authority or lawful excuse (which shall be for him to prove).
  22. Throwing a tennis ball is hardly inciting violence or riots I don't see the word violence in that sentence though it states in their first paragraph its the throwing things on the pitch and encouraging others that may be grounds to have caused an offence.
  23. I know it's shite but the reason I can see on that letter is throwing items on the pitch to disrupt the game which I thought was the plan?
  24. Lol fuck off. L’Equipe need to lay off the hard stuff United willing to bid 27m as they know they are the fourth lowest bid and players agent has already stated that he isn't interested in coming.......
  25. The most shocking thing will be the genuine shock from some fans we didn't manage to bring the 2 minimum but 4 really first team starter positions we desperately needed.
