score doesnt matter, style doesnt matter, passion doesnt matter its all too little too late even playing for pride would be lack a slap in the face as the squad as a whole has had no pride for the shirt and most no doubt will see this as a blip in their carear rather than a highlight of having the chance to play for the club.

lap of honour at the end???

nearly 10 years of this shit and I can count the happy times with one hand
-
appoint from within struggle to sell what we need to sell to rebuild struggle till xmas, waste a transfer window finding a manager/coach/ player coach and struggle due to lack of relevant investment rinse and repeat
-
I cannot wait for his next fan email and the spin to start how many lives does this prick have
-
if only he could keep this up for the rest of the season without doing something stupid, getting sent off, waste possession or shooting from distance etc even if we only get tiote back of old for the rest of the season it just shows the twat has had it in him somewhere
-
cant be mad with a point i thought we were on for a spanking before the start of the game unfortunately it doesnt catch us up to either sunderland or norwich and our game and hand has now been used so we still need to be the in form team of the 3 to stay up and need sunderland to really waste their game in hand. A win tonight would have meant it would be up to others to do the cathing and while we all have different fixtures and possibly more ups and downs to go there are possibly not enough games left to make it a reality down to a 9 which is the lowest I have been for sinse Rafa started.

Losing to the last touch of the game against Everton hasn't helped too. I get what you are both saying narrow margins and a few unfair calls we may have had a few extra points and a better goal difference but ultimately there have been plenty of down right dog shit performances to say on balance if we were to ultimately go down it would be our own fault and by "our" I mean the player and coaches and talent or lack there of bought in the last two windows. If we stay up big changes are needed I hope they finally realise that the money coming into the league means that no team what stays here for more than a season can be considered a minow and easy pickings this side has alot of bagage again, alot of dead weight and a lot of talent holes that need plugging shame some of the players we dont want to see next season are not at the end of their contracts and few people will be chomping at the bit to buy them.
-
They will either sit in 3rd gear all night and we will grind out a draw or they will be on form and put 5 passed us. I will be so very pleased if we win but I just dont expect it unless we get one or more of them sent off or a very big rub of the green. Not that I wont discount a fluke result I will take anything right now, hope that colback is dropped for the game and tiote keeps his place at least for part of the game. We simply cannot afford to ride our luck like we did today with City if we get our noses in front we cannot just sit back.
-
still recon colback was a very very poor choice but he works with them in training he may be picking people that either are on his wave lenght or are showing more signs to being open to suggestion and input from the manager. Far too often this season its been throw 11 lads of the pitch and hope it works and I think some of our players may just want to play their own way or no way. Shame there just is a lack of depth not to rely on throwing shit on the pitch as soon as its available. Not that our " star players" have been anything but manure for most of the season.

mr champions league should have been in double figures by now for being first name on the team sheet, all too little to late for me regardless of which league we are in I want him gone and to be someone elses problem
-
if we lose to city and to liverpool which is likely i wonder how likely we are to still get out of the shit as much as the win was great today out of the three teams "in it" we have the worse goal difference and the lowest number of points still a 9.5 for me
-
Hope cisse has 40 mins in him
-
the lack of options are making his selection more and more painful you are getting almost anothe midfield player with his hold up play and no goal threat shame he has to be pressured to score goals but we didnt spend 13 plus million on him to take up a squad place and add zero threat we have enough in 10 other positions for that
-
voted an 8 was a 9.9 before we cant defend and we cannot score these areas of concern have not gone away despite a massive upturn in management, very very very early days but when you only have 9 games left you kinda need to hit the ground running. Just being harder to break down and not letting your heads drop is all well and good for not making your goal difference massively worse and picking up the odd point here or there but that wont get you out of the shit and staying in the league. We need to find a way to get our noses in front dont care who scores but we need someone shame cisse seems to fell off the face of the earth when is the twat back?

A man with total blind optomism and a cheesy grin to boot, while losing your job is terrible its an industy where they are rewarded for failure if he doesnt get another job he goes on tv, if he never works again he is a multi millionaire it isnt like the lads working in the steel industry getting no notice or finding out on the news their company is in trouble. As usual there is a right way and wrong way in handling things as in many aspects of this current regime if there is an element to do wrong or badly we make sure to incorporate that into our approach this is what happens when you have some in a job like Mr Charnley in a job he is vastly unqualifies for who has admitted himself does not want to be in the public eye or draw attention to himself. Will I feel sorry for McClaren never he got a job we begged him for 3 times he had nearly half a season from being asked the first time to see the team, the squad and the way we were playing he was ineffective and was not professional enough to admit defeat you cannot always click with a side and he has been like chalk to our cheese from day one.

Staying up is obviously going to be tough and if it doesn't happen he'll be gone. Totally accept that. But if you can't see beyond that and be excited about this appointment then there's literally no hope left for you regarding NUFC. It's by some distance the most ambitious thing we've ever done under Ashley, and possibly since Robson. I agree Dave, when the alternative was continue the way we were then we are down, we appoint from within how much is likely the change this was the biggest leap forward we could make right now would things have been better if: we never got McClaren in the first place we didnt do a Graeme Souness style and spend a big load on players a proper manager may not want we didnt wait this late in the game to change However all we can do is move forward a little bit of a clean slate for the big hitter players the team have that have not done it at all he will butt heads and fall out with some and we may end up cutting ties with players we like and he doesnt if we stay up and he stays but such is life. He looses the 10 games then yeah its the structure its the team and we deserved it most of the season to go down but if your looking for the ray of light moment to come its this change today

I would be down from a 9.9 out of 10 back to a 7 while you cannot polish a turd (the squad) you can spray some air freshener to mask the smell
-
I don't see why we cant sack him, let the other staff take over and see if we can get someone else in permanent or temp. It may still work out better if the coaching staff have had good ideas he has dismissed. Cannot be any worse.

radio said last place club this season would receive 60 million in prize money minimum depending on how many times shown on tele plus parachute payments however next season they estimate that the last place prize money may be closer to 90/100 million plus how many times on tele. factor in that with trying to trim costs or maintain a higher wage bill it may be close to 50/70 million plus no guarantee of a first season bounce back. obviously I am no financial wiz so just my own guess.

Everything suggests that it was Bournemouth. Agreed, its probably easier to talk your way out of how bad things are when you are off the back of a bad defeat away from home to a side in a rich side of form particularly if his excuse/belief was he will pick up the needed wins from home. However following another collapse and poor performance at home on top of fan pressure and negative media that was more likely the deer in headlights moment the board needed to make them do nothing but put their heads in the sand.
-
I hope hope hope he is allowed back tomorrow to say his goodbye's seen as they werent in training today.
-
another player suffering badly from regression thanks to the team, situation, coaching etc we really are a club to go to if you want to devalue your stock in the game
-
Ian Cathro given till the end of the season same old shit from one of the same team that has us in the shit and we go down cheap option and all that
