  2. The United boss has hailed the support shown from the terraces and believes it ‘does not get any better than managing the club right now. “We’ve been made to feel very welcome,” Howe told Football Focus. “I've loved every second of the challenge of managing this club, it is a truly memorable experience. “I have to compliment the supporters. From day one they have really united around the team. Every home game, away game, they've been incredible. “It's been an incredible experience and is everything that I thought it would be. “Managing Newcastle United Football Club… I don't think it gets any better.”

    Joe Willock

best finisher at the club bar wilson.
  6. grounds gonna explode when he gets his first.
  7. disagree with the "shielding" description. challenge gets worse the more you see it. the guy actually jumps up and is completely off the ground before coming down on targett's leg.

    Fabian Schär

was just about to post this. dont think he's ever been as good defensively since he signed for us. had 2 others to help in out in back 3 under rafa.
  9. love that he's so ruthless. clearly his own man and confident in his choices and abilities.
  10. good for the fans, the manager, the players.... and maxi himself, to see that we can be effective without him.

    Ryan Fraser

been great. having targett helps. he's be a lot less effectve with ritchie or dummett behind him.
  14. media go on about spending £90m+ in january but dont mention we havent been playing our most expensive signing and that the 3 best players in out squad have been injured. its the old team plus dan burn and targett.
  15. been really good and there has been a noticeable improvement in his attitude and effort.

    Dan Burn

howe's done a "rafa" - created a defensive unit and done it in a way that injuries/suspensions dont create chaos. just brings in another player to take their place. even the loss of trippier, manquillo and targett at various times hasnt caused us too many probelms.

    Matt Targett

to whoever at villa thought of signing Digne and shipping out their player of the year - a great big thank you.

    Sven Botman

Amanda Staveley confirms Sven Botman is keen on Newcastle United move and talks transfers The co-owner has broken her silence after the transfer window nechronicle Amanda Staveley says that £50million-rated defender Sven Botman is still keen to join the club in the summer from Lille. Chronicle Live reported on February 17 that the Ripon financier was still eager to bring the talented Dutch star to Tyneside despite being rejected in the January window. Speaking to the Athletic , Staveley said: "We were 19th going into the window. "So we had that, an illiquid market, and the complexity of COVID-19, which meant clubs didn’t want to sell because they didn’t know where their squads would end up. "We had to encourage players – ‘we’ll be a safe place for you, we’ll deliver and grow’. "Some desperately wanted to come to us, like Sven (Botman), who still does very much and has talked very openly about that. "Coming through all that showed us we can do it, that we can stick to our plan and if we get criticised on the last day for ‘oh, you’re going after Jesse (Lingard)’, well, Jesse wanted to come to us. "We did everything. We never stopped. From the start to the finish, we did not stop working." This summer is going to be important for us. "Are we going to bring in five players, two players, one? We don’t know. "We’ll look at what the squad requires, we’ll look at the market and act accordingly. "We don’t have any limitations in terms of what we can do until we hit FFP. We want to create a sustainable club."

might be a giggs, but amanda saying he's still desperate to join.
  20. really need to win this even if it means losing the next one. think win/loss is better than draw/win in our next 2 games.
