Wish him all the luck in the world. At least it seems as though he won't be a 'knee jerk response' of an option for us. I would much rather see him appointed in the future on the basis that he has a proven track record elsewhere.
-
Agree with others on here, considering where we were at the time that he took over, his involvement was nothing short of fantastic. Such a pity that Douglas and Fat Fred were allowed in to the party! You would expect him to make a return on his investment, after all it was a big risk at the time.
-
Either of these, but not both for the reasons already mentioned.
-
Just what I was looking for. Decisive action and hopefully he will be the same with incoming transfers.
-
Yes except for the diving, can't stand that.
-
That's what makes it a good appointment for me, I think this was a realistic appointment in terms of who we could hope to get in charge and it seems that his press conference has already exceeded everyones expectations. Really excited for next season now.

I think Big Sam is capable of dealing with this behaviour.
-
I'm surprised we are so high up this table. It wasn't my recollection of the defence this season. It still needs to be radically improved.

6 Weeks: Butt secured Player OTS.... 6 week relegation saver.

Post not worthy of a comment then! -
Classic!! He really is a headless chicken this guy, utterly useless.

I quit Bolton because I need to be at a club where I can win trophies

He doesn't want to sound unambitious, not good for career development. Converting it into reality on the other hand might be more difficult. -
A disturbing number taking the bait on this one.
-
He must have a better offer. I rate Jewell, has done very well with limited resources both at Bradford and Wigan.
-
If someone else gets him to erradicate concentration errors then good luck to them. He must be a nightmare to play with in defence though because you would be paranoid about when in the game the error is going to happen. He has to go.
-
These are the crucial stages. At least he has learned from past mistakes and improved on his timing. Small steps for Fat Fred though, he has a long distance to recover from.
-
Couldn't agree more. Given where we are I think he is a realistic appointment for us progress. The timing is also right for a change, so we can prepare properly for next season.
-
Yes if we can make a cheeky attempt to get Tevez
-
In 500% agreement with this. Fuking more trouble than they are worth. Lazy, arrogant, trouble making sulky fukers. I don't know if we just attract them but i'm hard pushed to think of 5 Frenchmen in football who don't have an attitude problem. Surely we are just unlucky? Psychological profiling of potential transfers should solve this problem!
-
I also feel optimistic about Big Sam coming in. Apart from anything else he won't tollerate any crap from the players and will get the best out of underperformers.
-
Houllier is a higher caliber manager than we could expect to be interested in the job. Either him or Big Sam, just not Sven.
-
We haven't got enough money for him to spend on players, he would be a disaster.
-
Barton is a thug, too many occassions, too many chances. I would be surprised if they could offload him on anyone.
-
Rose tinted spectacles i'm afraid. Would be great in theory, in reality probably a disaster.
