London - Queens Park Rangers (Les ferdinand, Stan Bowles) Birmingham - West Brom (The team under Big Ron) Liverpool - Tranmere (Couldn't pick Red or Blue) Manchester - City, it's not Man U Sheffield - Sheffield Wednesday (Couldn't watch a team managed by Bryan Robson) Glasgow - Partick Thistle (Sometimes it's worth supporting the underdog) Wild Card - Stenhousemuir (Ridiculous name that made me laugh when I was a kid)

Star player, absolutely commited and mental when with us. Good luck to him
-
Sign of desparation or a dead man walking.

I'm not a big fan of Smith, but you can't deny that he will give you commitment and effort, somnething Dyer never seemed to show. I will get behind him whatever position he plays in.
-
Carr and Ramage are sh*t, but at least seem to try. For Me Babayaro is sh*t and couldn't care less.

Solid and no frills as others have pointed out. I didn't realise he was only 28 either. Get him in. Carr down to third in the pecking order for right back. All good news.

Spaz. In reality would be fourth choice striker for us and a definite starter for them. That sums them up for me!
-
I would have to reserve judgement on Smith. For me he doesn't score enough goals as a striker. There is no questioning his commitment and overall contribution. Did he have a really good partnership with Viduka at Leeds?
-
Trying a bit hard to be philisophical like Eric Cantona with that one.
-
Without wanting to second guess Big Sam, this guy sounds like a decent improvement at right back and would definitly resign Carr to back up.
-
At last. Lets move on with the defenders now.
-
No where near good enough for us, Inter rejects no thanks.
-
They will be if Henry goes to Barcelona and they don't get a decent replacement.
-
At least it isn't the end of August. There are plenty of other alternatives if he decides no to come.
-
An interesting first game, for Sam particularly. I wonder what sort of reception he will get. Should be a featured game on telly/
-
Even though he is right, you have to laugh at Mourinho, him and Chelsea vs the world.

Like many I view the consistant building of a solid squad as my first hope as well as some restoration of pride in the team. It would be nice to think that we will no longer be a laughing stock lurching from one disaterous piece of poor PR to the next. The building up of an adequate back room staff rather than some of the 'monkeys' we seem to have settled for recently, and final erradication of the ridiculous injury list. I think we can get get a UEFA cup place next season
-
Derby (H) then Fulham (A) Six point start.
-
I agree with this, numbers we certainly need and we may not get all of the quality we would like. I think we could do alot worse than him
-
in the end it will be where the player wants to go.....not what the clubs agree between themselves. Nothing about this here in Jormany tbh. Also some dubious logic by his agent stating it just needs an official bid from Newcastle for the deal being finalised within hours but then saying that his client prefers Dortmund. Also didnt Dortmund officially pull out of the deal or something? Seems to me like the agent is just trying to hurry the deal up That's the one, smells like agent interference

One other thing is - Souness has been saying that he didn't enjoy his time at Newcastle United and that we are a big club with big problems - and that Ashley should watch out!! (He is saying that "HE" didn't enjoy his time here!!!!!!!) And neither did we
