  1. There all talking like we have a choice in the matter....as a group of supporters we couldn’t unite to oust someone that was shagging is left right and centre so why is there suddenly a thought that we could remotely influence the sale now? Mark Douglas saying roll extract some promises....and how exactly do we hold them to account? Jesus Christ, where has he been for the last 13 years.

    Joelinton

I have a vague memory of the way transfer fees are shown in club accounts is spread over the term of the contract....could be wrong like. Also, if he’s any good we’ll be trying to flog him next year and holding clubs to ransom via the 5 year remaining.....which half makes sense It would explain the 6 year shite
  3. I’m my dreams I see wagon after wagon rocking up to SD HQ with £350m worth of pennies.....there’s your money Mike.
  4. I think the bit about Sala being scared the plane would fall apart is really being taken to literally. I agree with you, if he’s used to commercial airlines than a little Piper is going to feel like a tin can to him, it’s the kind of thing most people would say going from a Jet Liner to a Small Aircraft, like getting out of a BMW and getting into a Lada, it’s not the same experience. My feeling son the whole thing is that it’s being far to overthought, it’s been a accident in my eyes. A aircraft travelling on the limit of its capabilities has crashed killing two people. I still suspect it’ll be ice related, hence the drop in height. Will it have a tip top maintenance record, probably not but would a pilot risk his own life in a plane unfit to fly...I doubt that too.
  5. Anyone who is surprised that this happened today has been living in a box for a while now, he has good qualities but temperament isn't one of them. In reality though, as shit as this is, this is our current level and i suspect over the course of the season he will help us more than he will hinder. Just got to move on.
  6. Not just our away support however there seems to be a fascination with insulting the other supporters more than there is supporting your own team.....i wanna go home, my garden shed, your support etc.. Theres been a very definite culture shift imo, see Darlington Away a few years ago. People seem to have more interest in recording themselves on mobile's doing "Laddish" stuff than they do supporting their team. In our defence...we do travel the longest for most games which only increases the drinking time pre-match.
  7. Tbf, contracts are a two way street. There's just as much chance that Tiote asked for a reasonable figure only for the club to try and get a cheap deal. If I were negotiating with a player who is obviously not wanted at his current club, had a history of injuries and is coming to the end of the transfer window it's what I would do...

    Players in public

99% sure I've just seen Dwight Gayle in the RVI.
  9. He'll bring success to them within 2 seasons, within 4 seasons he will be gone. The amount of money that Man Utd will have to spend over the next 10 seasons to remain competitive has just gone up imo.
  10. Yep, blaming just him is ridiculous. But defending him is equally as ridiculous. He's a fucking liability. Did you even see him stare down the ref? Utter liability. Sums us up this season http://i938.photobucket.com/albums/ad223/Philly1983/Screen%20Shot%202016-05-15%20at%2016.39.12.png
  11. Still hobbling around on crutches when I saw him in the RVI today.
  12. Jerome Boatang for me, got loads of the fucker.
  13. Im 32, seemingly its frowned upon for me to hang around in play grounds waiting for kids to swap with...
  14. I started my sticker album over the weekend, went into Battle Hill Tesco and bought a book and 10 packs of stickers. Fuckin doubles already man...bastards. I know this from my former life as a Pokemon card collector, packs with shineys in are slightly heavier, so I'm going to rock up to the tesco with a set of scales, weigh all the packs and buy the ones with all the shineys in...fucking kids can't beat science!

Naive is giving them an excuse. I'd use the word "tactical" rather than "naive". I doubt they'd have played him at all if they weren't in a relegation fight. They played him and he helped keep them up (and win another derby). Financially it was easily worth it for them. Totally agree, it was absolutely about the "business" rather than the club.

The damage that SAFC will suffer from this is immeasurable, It'll be interesting to see how sponsor etc react to their failure to act when they first found out and also how future sponsorships etc will be affected. All that aside they will be remembered for a very long time as a club that knowingly supported a pedophile, i suspect that similar to Boro (even though they don't have a direct link to those crimes) they will be tarnished and ridiculed for years to come. As a business decision it was a spectacularly bad one, as a club that is formed from and for the community its an absolute disgrace. Ironically i actually feel sorry for the SAFC fans that would never have supported him had they known the truth.

    Florian Thauvin

This says everything about football, huge sums of money can be lost with very little thought behind it. Look at Liverpool for another shining example.

Na, needs a brighter coloured jumper
  19. Didn't they sell the stadium and the training ground? I seem to remember reading that they rent them now.
  20. I really can wait to watch the faces of the villa fans when they are relegated. It so petty but fuck it, I genuinely hope they suffer to fuck.
  21. Mr Schoe has just been asking on the North Tyneside Riders Facebook page if anyone is out for a cycle this morning.
