The thing is if Levy was the one doing the selling, he would be asking for £30m and would keep the player rather than sell for less than his valuation - even if that meant they never played a single game. Look at the prices he has sold some of their average players for and that was before all this extra money they now have which is inflating fees. I also wouldn't do a deal involving any Spurs players as they would be hugely over-valued. If we want any, then they should be separate deals.

He always made an effort to apologise to the fans after poor performances - not sure about a specific mistake he made.

f*** off, is it. Yeah that's utter bullshit. Went there a month or so back and it's a really nice town. Lived there for a number of years. Small city, pleasant but dull.

When you see the money being paid for Premier League players, we should get good fees for Wijnaldum and Sissoko regardless of what we think of them.

I actually like the fact that the club are now posting articles on the website wishing thanking players and wishing them well when they move on. It always seemed very cold when if they were lucky there was a line posted to say they had left. Another move in the right direction.

Has that new shirt been confirmed yet?

Wasn't it from the Carmina Burana? -
Perhaps the fact that there will be a new England manager is also a factor especially if he is a foreigner. He will have to prove himself all over again and chances are he would be ignored in the Championship.

It's weird. We are hearing deals are almost done and no-one has any idea who the players could be.
-
You could almost deceive yourself into believing we were still in the Premier League with those September fixtures.

I'll take a no nonsense defender instead of the stupid haired ponce who wants go home every fecking other month. Hanley, he's alright. Give me Lewis Dunk if thats the case. Aye i agree with that. I think we have missed the boat with that one as Premier League clubs are often him.

I like it when our fans sing it because you can really hear the Geordie accent when you sing "beer" - completely different sound to when other fans sing it. It works well when going abroad to watch a game - not so well when you are in some horrible town in this country. Also daft when it is followed up by the "Want to go home" one.

Euro 2016 trouble - Russia handed suspended disqualification by UEFA
Wallace replied to bowlingcrofty's topic in Football
Our lot are not doing themselves any favours. If you are not looking for trouble you don't march around the city like that - it's provocative at the very least. -
I thought they were interested in Cillessen. If they go for Krul, it is probably because they see him as the cheap option. All we keep hearing about is how much money Everton have to spend. I would be getting the maximum fees possible if they want any of our players.

I printed a direct debit form off the website, filled it in, sent it off in the 5 o clock post and by the following dinner time, I had confirmation and an emailed receipt in me inbox. Monthly payments still as well. I don't think they are sending out renewal forms. I think you either have to use the website as above (and you can do it all online) or over the phone or in person with the box office.

Either way, they will probably be met off the train by authorities because of that tweet. -
Patrick Roberts - City signed him from Fulham - was on loan to Celtic last season.

Cabaye had little choice really. If the local journalists are to believed he wanted to come back here and we were not interested. He was desperate to leave PSG and only Palace were seemingly interested. I certainly don't remember a load of clubs chasing him. And then there is the fact that he has undue influence with Pardew which means that he knows he would get his own way all the time.
-
The Premier League is awash with money and many clubs are paying over the odds for players. I expect players we are interested in whether Premier League, Championship or even League 1 will be overpriced because the selling clubs will all think we have the money to pay for it.

The final comment from that interview “I want to give them joy and excitement and pride in their club, a reason to celebrate and to smile.” :smitten:

Keith Downie @SkySports_Keith 4m Understand Palace are interested, but unless a massive offer comes in expect Andros Townsend to start the season with NUFC in the Champ.

I think he was one of the players that Pardew wanted to sign but the board said no.
