Fair play I was thinking at least he isn't totally naive. And then: I think, in a round about way and probably the only way he can, he's trying to highlight a very real problem at the club. Ashley doesn't like spending money on players. He's trying to point out that the club won't spend enough to aim for top ten. Despite his own lack of competence this an extremely salient point.

He's always had the ability to have words with players but in terms of rallying or organising the side on the pitch as a captain should do, he's fallen way short in times of trouble. As a captain and main centre back of the side, i still can't believe he allowed Anita to mark the Palace player at the back post isolated in the dying minutes. It was clear for all to see what was going to happen. He was majorly at fault for that goal imo due to his lack of leadership and organisation, just switched off. The thing that's confused me about you is that Pardew is exactly the same bloke he was a year ago.

Not this s*** again. Ashley is a crap owner but he doesn't pick the team, dictate tactics or run training sessions. Ashley hasn't consistently picked inferior players (Smith, Perch, Gosling, Ameobi) when other options have been available to the detriment of the team and club as a whole. Ashley isn't the one who has shoehorned players into the team out of their natural positions, destroying their confidence and nullifying any threat they might have once offered. Ashley and Pardew are a good match for each other, they each cover the other's inadequacies but it has gone beyond the point now where Pardew is only holding back the club with his own shitness. Pardew is now the root cause of most of the team's issues and has to go. You ask why he should simply walk away since he has a contract? Because it's got the point where the crowd detest him, the players no longer give a f*** and even the media have started to wake up to his inabilities. If he walks away now he might still get another job in the Premiership or top end of the Championship, the longer he allows it to continue the more questions will be raised about his skills and fewer clubs will think him a potential asset. Walk away now and let the media run with the stories that it was Ashley's way of running the club that harmed the team, or carry on and let everyone know it was Pardew himself who couldn't organise a gangbang in a brothel. Mark Hughes or David O'Leary, pick a career path. I'm not saying that Pardew is innocent either, I just feel that Ashley is more to blame. Yes Pardew picks the team, but how much of a say does he have in the players at his disposal? He has shown in the past that he can get results when he has the right players. He is no scout, I doubt he even knows who half of the players we signed this summer actually are but we finished 5th with Pardew as a manager and a very average side tbh. But when Ashley decides he wants to sell our best player (by far) because he is far more interested in lining his own pockets than the fortunes of the football club. That is why, imo, Ashley is more to blame. So sick of this 'we finished 5th once so he must be good' sh*te. I really am. Ipswich have finished 5th with George Burley. Allardyce finished 6th with Bolton. Do you want either of them as manager (again in Fat Sam's case)? Is it qualification enough? Numpty fluked it, it can happen. He'll never manage it again and don't kid yourself or any one else gullible enough to listen that he can. I remember coming away from a lot of games that season thinking either it was a very evenly balanced game we were lucky to win, or that we have downright robbed the other team! The following season I don't think we were significantly worse, I don't think European football really affected us (we played the kids and reserves after all), we just didn't have fortune on our side the way we did in 11/12. That season was a pure fluke. I made plenty of noises after the 5th place finish that the way we were playing was going to make those results totally unsustainable. We had a quite a share of good fortune. We also very 'direct' in our play and relied a lot on the opposition making mistakes. Which they did. There was clearly no plan for evolving a system and style out of that fortunate finish. If there had been one we could used the fact that we looked like an attractive proposition given our league finish to sign the kind of players we would have needed to kick on. Newcastle Utd is nothing but a Sports Direct first Eleven. Just an advertising board for his tat. Ashley has absolutely zero sporting ambition. Not one iota.

Hoddle with Steve Clarke as his No. 2 is my random suggestion this morning.
-
Could do with someone good (which he might be) who was taller.

Respect Slim's opinion then NPW

Shouldn't be surprised. Most of the sheep that keep bleating now were full of understanding of why SBR was tin tacked and thought Souness was doing the right thing ostracising the likes of Robert and Bellamy. They'll deny it now of course but i know them and know the sh*t they're full of.

Me too, SE20 resident! lol mugs Haven't been to Selhurst yet, good opportunity. Fully expect the game to be a massive abortion (not a reference to your daughter). If i can get free for it i'll meet up with you if like. I'm not too far away.

Like Will Hughes?

 'Hi Mike, I just tried to sign that f***ing Blackietimbi Gomis but the b****** is probably eating chicken somewhere...bloody Jamaican dreaded c***' Kind of stupid logic is this? There's plenty racism in our own football and we need to be better. Bit of verbal diarrhoea. I've experienced racism (not just to myself) at English football grounds so it does 'deserve a mention', what a strange and arrogant thing to say. It might not be as prevalent as other leagues but I didn't realise we're competing in some sort of bigotry league against Russia, Turkey, Ukraine etc. Agreed. I've heard enough of it too.

He was very good at shooting until he was here for more than 6 months.

What does this involve? As you is a Lahndanah now you should know that in Southern Vernacular, to 'ponce' is to obtain said goods/services as gratis.
-
We should ponce Montpellier's Director of Youth Development while we're at it tbh.
-
Only seen him a little bit but i thought his timing was absolutely superb. His passing looked very good as well. Kind of player we don't have apart from Tiote. If he could step up i'd be happy to see him replace him tbh.

Mbiwa hasn't done anything to suggest he should start tbh. Colo's still our most talented CB in my book. I disagree. Those games last season where he was partnered in central defense with Williamson were the most solid we have been defensively for quite some time. That was 3 games. Even so. First real chance he got to play in his natural position a few weeks running and it was cut short not because it wasn't working, but because Captain Fantastic returned from injury. You say he hasn't done anything to suggest he should start, but in reality we haven't seen anything to suggest he shouldn't. I have like. Everton Away stands as the worst CB performance i've seen from Newcastle CB. You haven't been watching us long then. Or you have but without paying attention.

Anyone with an idea of what makes a footballer can see Dummett won't make it at this level. Anyone with any perception at all can also see that Haidara could but for that to happen he has to a) have the right personality to make it and b) the right people around him to bring him forward.

If we could get someone on who could protect the back 4 and actually pass the ball forward as well i'd be delighted. Wouldn't dare leave the protection bit to Anita/Sissoko/Colback though. Need a new face.

Just remember how bad Colo was. He was so awful i couldn't see him turning it around. MYM has the tools and, i believe, the mental fortitude. Just needs some support and a run of games.

About 6ft4 so not too fast 6 ft 4 ? He doesn't even look 6 ft! i thought he was on the short clips i saw. Will trust your judgement though as you are determined to point out flaws to me today Not at all, not at all! Will be totally gutted about MYM if he's off. As for Brown Ideye, i remember checking him out when (i think it was you) mentioned him a couple of months ago. Looked alright, just not that tall.
