  1. Tweet of the night: John Nicholson ‏@JohnnyTheNic 9m If you dropped a horse out of a plane it would still be more in control of its limbs than Welbeck Retweeted by Football365
  2. i only really have room in my life for one source of football related sadness, and Villa fulfill that role with aplomb, so my concern at not getting to Brazil is limited. Oooooh, mind you, they should have scored then. It's like watching Villa play, this is (as Poland).
  3. it is fucking rubbish. Miserable dirge of a tune and lyrics reinforcing the ridiculous fairy tale notion of kings and queens. It should be replaced. Ideally by Mr Blue Sky by ELO.
  4. Apparently there was a bit of unsaviour behaviour when you played at our place the other week, as well. Racism, mostly, from coachloads of pissed up idiots disgorging outside the ground.

It was definitely English they were singing. It can't be about Lerner, their own owner was born outside the UK, too. And is also Asian, which makes it very strange.

I think it's about Birmingham being multiracial. It's certainly not about the nationality of footballers.

    Kick It Out

A large section of Hull's fans on Saturday were singing "You're not English anymore" at us. I'd like to think that's something other than racially oriented, but apparently it's a popular song with those EDL knuckle heads. Deeply disappointed if that's what it was about.
  9. Is it not going to be that thing, a bit like Saints, you'll better against the teams that come out and have go along with the dross than those who play for 0-0 / 0-1 (us aside) That's exactly it.
  10. I have to say, when you consider that so far this season, we've played Arsenal, Chelsea and Norwich away, and Liverpool, Newcastle and Man City at home, nine points is a pretty decent return. Especially when you factor in that we could quite easily have won at Chelsea. Those are some difficult fixtures there. If only we could conjure up some consistent form at home.
  11. Villa also beat Man City today too. Villa are shocking at home, I've heard. Beyond shocking. 9 losses in the last 13 before today.
  12. The best thing about our win today is that we, honestly, truly, played worse than we did against you, it was a performance straight from the McLeish era. I can't believe we won.
  13. This: Will be a sight this weekend, amongst the funniest things on the internet.
  14. The thing about Moyes is that it doesn't really matter that it is him. Whoever had taken over this season, this would have happened, absolutely nailed on.
  15. This match is hilarious. We should be about 5 goals down.
  16. I can't believe we have equalised, that first half was terrible, we looked absolutely clueless. I don't get it. At home, we're awful, lost 10 of our last 14. Away from home, we can give anyone a game.
  17. unless its Newcastle who blatantly admit it in a public domain and for me that is inexcusable and frankly a kick in the teeth to all paying fans ,boycotting is the only way to show him we will not tolerate it anymore . What's there to admit? Every Premiership club has the League as its priority and will rest players during the cups. We all know that. Why demand honesty from the club and then complain when you get it? But does being honest about it excuse what the answer is? We are exactly the same with this cups thing. Look at our side at home to Spurs this week. It's all a bit depressing really. It also makes me laugh when clubs say they're concentrating on the league as if they're doing it in the way Man United or Chelsea might, ie with a view to winning it, rather than finishing 10th versus 14th. I went to one (losing) cup final in recent years and I know every single person who was there will remember it far longer than they will finishing 10th one year rather than 14th. It is the depressing result of the money culture brought about by things like the CL and the arrival of horrible oligarchs and Arab regimes with money to burn that has meant clubs like you or us and many others can't hope to actually challenge to win the league any more, but not bothering to try to win cups is the fault of nobody but the clubs concerned themselves and is inexcusable.

Imagine Brummie man, another 18 months or so of brummies scathing insight. I am already excited. Surely they wouldn't be *that* stupid, though?

The guy was a disaster waiting to happen. For all the bluster about him keeping them up and turning things around, they'd appointed a league one manager with a deeply engrained narcissism problem and extremely unpleasant politics. In short, an absolute fucking clown in a nice suit. It was only ever going to end up like this.
  20. MYM can defo match him for pace. Think Taylor would be more likely to get to a header tbh. When people in the media talk about our front line, they always go on about how much pace they have. I don't get it. Agbonlahor, yes, obviously, but Benteke and Weimann aren't particularly pacy.
  21. One thing is for sure. It is nigh on impossible that we will keep a clean sheet.
  22. Oh, and if we lose, and you don't see me for a few weeks, I'm not in hiding, I'm fecking off on holiday for two weeks on Saturday.
  23. A few random kids who you've probably never heard of, playing like experienced, valuable premier league players. Plus Fabian Delph. Delph has been brilliant for the last third of last season and this season so far. I was ready to write him off as another MON failure. Totally wrong.
  24. Difficult to say on this one. I never really know what sort of performance I am going to see from us.
  25. What's more, he's their record signing.
