Holte End and lower North Stand at our place
  2. Chelsea are an absolute basket case of a club.
  3. Worst performance from us in a while. great result though. Ashley Young, what a brilliant re-signing he has been for us.
  4. There is no bigger, clearer signifier that an American doesn't understand football than when they start talking about all-star north v south games. That shows an absolute failure to understand even the basics of the football culture in this country, it's so, so out of tune with the game.
  5. Chelsea spent SEVENTY SIX MILLION BRITISH POUNDS on Kai Havertz.
  6. Chelsea managing to become even more disfunctional post Abrahmovich. Marvellous.

Not knowing the law is not an accepted excuse for breaking it. In the legal sense, I mean. It never ceases to amaze me how stupid footballers can sometimes be.
  8. Bailey has been awful. Ings has been more decent than most give him credit for. Buendia is supremely talented but easily knocked off the ball so jury out. Digne has been ok at best. Carlos snapped his Achilles in his second game for us so jury out. Boubacar Kamara - out of contract free - has also had a bad injury but looks absolute quality. Coutinho, well, I just don’t know. An enigma, the only player I remember being so enigmatic was the great Diego Swarfega. RIP.
  9. I’m confused. the manager of Arsenal can’t have spoken that badly of him as he’s the one trying to buy him currently. Or am I missing something? i don’t really know much about him. Looks like Emery wants to reunite the partnership with Boubacar Kamara.
  10. Chelsea paying that loan fee, nuts. I just read they're in for Matty Cash. Ha ha ha, really? *queue of taxis forms*
  11. Basically loped around half heartedly like we were just going to stroll through. Abject lack of defending for the second, brainless giving away of the penalty, and our second choice goalkeeper is an utter joke.
  12. Anybody, ANYBODY who supports this English fucking dinosaur manager thing should be forced to watch our match against Wolves today. Two basque managers going head to head and tweaking formation and making subs throughout the match to counter each other. Absolutely fascinating. Compare that with Bruce and his fat fucking 'gee the lads up' face or Gerrard stood there in his suit looking the hard man, probably not even knowing what the score is most of the time.
  13. I think you’re doing really well thus far. arsenal are just so fucking relentless though, so hard to play against.
  14. To give Gerrard some credit, he did work hard on getting Kamara in for us, spent time with him over in France etc etc, and he's the player we've missed for at least 10 years, he's been absolutely superb. And that's the end of me being nice to Gerrard.
  15. If we sign a couple of decent players in the right places in January we’ll have a good second half of the season. The difference between a tactical brain like Emery and a throwback like Gerrard is immense. Four league games in charge - none of them easy - nine points, and the one we lost was Liverpool. A promising start.
  16. I can't get over how much I fucking love that man. What a guy. Also, Messi might well be the GOAT in general, but Emi Martinez is without a doubt the GS-HOAT
  17. I watched our friendlies against Brighton and Chelsea, and am watching the one at the moment against Villarreal, and obviously saw the two league games he had before the WC and I have genuinely never seen a team change as comprehensively as we appear to have - already - compared to the fucking antiquated untrained pile of shite we were under Gerrard. A top level coach who actually spends time organising coaching rather than mooking about in his tracksuit giving interviews to Gary Neville and 'Carra'. Who'd have thought it.
  18. Watching our friendly against Chelsea, Broja off injured with what looks like a long term one. Screaming in pain.
  19. Absolutely they did. It must be frightening, the number of points Man United came away with after playing badly, fluking a goal then shit-housing out the remainder of the game. That was the difference between winning god knows how many titles and not.
  20. Absolutely exactly that. Ferguson's teams were absolute masters at two things - being absolutely shit on the day but scrabbling something out of the match, and rank shithousery in a time when "shithousery" hadn't even been invented as a word.
  21. I, like all true football fans, have nothing but faith in our VAR overlords.
