  1. Some possible clues as to who will play in the training photos: - http://www.nufc.co.uk/page/News/Gallery/0,,10278~3602821,00.html
  2. Recall him to play him? If he isn't getting into the Birmingham team he won't get into the NUFC team. Recall him to loan him out to a different team? If we can we should.
  3. Using http://www.nufc.com/2013-14html/squad.html and looking at our squad, the following NUFC players are out of contract in Summer 2014: - Loic Remy (Loan) Dan Gosling Shola Ameobi Conor Newton Remie Streete Steven Logan Michael Richardson The following players NUFC contracts end in Summer 2015: - Ryan Taylor Jonas Gutierrez Samuel Ameobi James Tavernier Jak Alnwick We know Mike Ashley likes to get a fee for players when they are coming to the end of their contract and NUFC don't want to keep them. The following players are currently loaned out to other clubs: - James Tavernier Haris Vuckic Shane Ferguson Dan Gosling Michael Richardson Conor Newton Romain Amalfitano Mehdi Abeid Adam Campbell There's a good few of those who will never make it into our first team. I'm sure NUFC would be happy to sell most of them. NUFC are going to have to go shopping for players in the next two transfer windows to make up for the players who will leave or who NUFC want to try to move on.
  4. I'm sure the team line up for the FA Cup game on Saturday against Cardiff will feature players who haven't been getting in the team recently but, should some of the team be rotated for the West Brom game? Some players looked tired in the second half against Arsenal. The same 11 players (more or less) have played a lot of games in a short period of time. We don't have the quality in reserve the top teams do so we can't afford to change the team too much.
  5. Wednesday 1st January 2014 at 3pm. No NUFC players are suspended for this game.
  6. If the BBC are so concerned with viewing figures for MOTD they should put all the games featuring the most popular teams on last. That way their fans have to sit through the whole programme to watch their team.
  7. If Marveaux is as good as some people think he is, I expect an avalanche of offers for him in January. Other clubs scouts will know of his qualities and will be rushing to put an offer in for him.
  8. Very good footballer? Is that in the same way some people describe Marveaux as a class player? People need to reserve their superlatives for players who have earned them over an extended period of time.
  9. I ordered mine on the 18th and they arrived on the 19th. I assume you are local to Newcastle? The box office seem to send tickets out with first class postage paid.
  10. What is it about Haïdara that makes opposition players try to snap him in half with their challenges? Haïdara is like a red rag to a bull for opposition players. McManaman for Wigan, Schneiderlin for Southampton and whichever Stoke player it was have all done bad tackles on Haïdara.
  11. Tony Cottee talks sense: - http://www1.skysports.com/watch/video/9089483/cottee:-whelan-sending-off-changed-game Remy interview here: - http://www1.skysports.com/football/live/match/287462
  12. As I said in the rumours thread: - It would be a bit of a risk for Cabaye to move to PSG in January. He is a certain starter with us but would he be with PSG? He also has his place at the World Cup to worry about. Are his family happy here or would they prefer to move to Paris? If Cabaye asks to leave at least we should get a lot of money for him and we won't have to face him in the league.
  13. PSG are in the Champions League and they will probably match any wages he could get elsewhere but would Cabaye want to go back to the French league at this point in his career? He has said himself that playing in the Premiership has improved him as a player. I can see him wanting to leave in the Summer if one of the top world sides comes in for him (unless by some miracle we qualify for the Champions League and he might decide to stay) but I doubt he'd want to leave in January with the World Cup coming up. Or do as we have in the past. Get Gomis to sign the pre contract agreement. Tell his club he has signed the agreement and will be joining NUFC in the Summer for free. Offer his club a vastly reduced price if they want to let him join us now.
  14. Bafétimbi Gomis has scored for Lyon against Lorient. He must be worth getting for around £2m in January or at least do a pre-contract agreement deal with him in January so we get him for free (not including agent and signing on fees) in the Summer?
  15. Cheick Tiote picked up his fifth booking and will miss the Boxing Day game against Stoke City. Referee is Martin Atkinson. Moussa Sissoko is one booking away from an automatic one match ban. Tickets are available: - http://www.nufc.co.uk/articles/20131220/ticket-alert-stoke-from-a-fiver_2281670_3585349
  16. To keep with the tradition when we win a game, why hasn't a thread for the Stoke game been started by Skirge?
  17. Newcastle U21s 4 Norwich U21s 1 Newcastle goal scorers: - OG, Bigirimana, Gutierrez and Quinn.
  18. This Assuming he's any good and assuming he would come to NUFC, you'd think Gomis is the perfect signing to replace Shola. NUFC offered £8m for Gomis in the Summer. NUFC could probably buy Gomis for around £2m in the January transfer window or do a deal where we sign him for 'free' in the Summer. The saving on not having paid out £8m for him would surely easily cover his wages which were supposedly a sticking point last time.
  19. I got both my adult tickets for £30 in total too. The problem was trying to buy a child ticket with the adult tickets. It kept charging £15 for the Child ticket until I bought it as a separate transaction. All three of my tickets arrived in the post today which is next day delivery. The two adult tickets were in one envelope and the child ticket was in another. The delivery was fast but NUFC/Mike Ashley could have saved £0.47 postage and an envelope if the website had worked correctly. Multiply that across other people who want to buy a mixture of adult and child tickets and I'm sure the costs mount up over a season.
  20. Sissoko and Tiote are both one booking away from suspension.

  22. I finally managed to buy my tickets. I had to buy the child ticket as a separate transaction to the adult tickets. When I tried to buy the child ticket with the Adult tickets it kept trying to charge me £15 for the child ticket. You'd think it would be in the interests of the club (and therefore Mike Ashley) to have the ticket website fully functional and easy to use. A fully functioning ticket sales website would mean less work for the box office staff (I believe someone said on here that there are only 8 people who work in the box office) and more ticket sales. Not everyone can go to the box office and not everyone wants to ring an 0844 number. I bet a lot of people give up on buying tickets when the website messes them around.
