He'd probably turn down Chelsea's first offer in the assumption that they'd come back with a bigger offer.

Rangers in liquidation Q&A http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18413384

Maybe the fact that the English clubs would have to vote to allow them in?
-
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18410999 As if the English clubs would vote to allow Rangers into their league. Also, why would Glasgow fans want to travel to England every away game? The Police wouldn't want Rangers in the English league either.

Surely it should say "former Newcastle United footballer Danny Guthrie".

What's with the goal music in the stadium? Is this game taking place in Bolton or something?

I'd be surprised if Pardew had listed any of the players NUFC are after in his 'Top 10 Players To Watch At The Euros' list.

Metalist Kharkiv are in the Play-off round of the Europa League along with NUFC. So are Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk who are another Ukrainian team. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2012%E2%80%9313_UEFA_Europa_League

Would Barnetta want to be back up though? As I understand, Barnetta plays right wing. We haven't really got an out and out right winger. Ben Arfa, Obertan, Gutierrez and maybe Marveaux can play on both wings. That's without counting Ferguson and Sammy Ameobi. Amalfitano can play right wing too. I just think NUFC will think Barnetta's wages would be better spent elsewhere.
-
Except Ben Arfa says he likes playing on the right. I'd be happy if we went for Barnetta. It depends if NUFC want to pay £35K a week to a player who plays in an area we don't desperately need to fill. He's free which is tempting to Mike Ashley. He's 27 so only 1 year over the usual under 26 years old cut off of NUFC's transfer policy.

I can't imagine any club employing him unless it is strictly on a 'pay as you play' basis. Having said that, when he left us I thought he'd struggle to get a decent club and then Man U came in for him!

http://www.newcastle-online.org/nufcforum/index.php/topic,90311.msg3696478.html#msg3696478 I assume this new link is purely based on the fact that we've previously been linked with him and is not based on any new information?
