Various: Mike Ashley in talks with Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed Al Nehayan

It's very passive aggressive to the fans and also misrepresents what the protests are about. We want Ashley to sell the club to someone who wants the club to try to compete. After 11 years, we've given up on Ashley spending what is required on players.

Mark Lawrenson says it's time to park all these protests for now: - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/45651999

Newcastle United vs Leicester City - 29/09/2018 @ 15:00 - No UK TV

One of the main issues with the NUFC squad is that almost none of them can be relied upon to shoot at goal on a regular basis with any accuracy or power. Players who can hit the target cost big money which is why we don't have any. -

NUFC related protesting aside, SD's policy of "no refunds only credit notes" will have a lot of non NUFC fans down voting SD anyway. -
He's doing very well but Fulham have played a lot easier fixtures than NUFC so far.

Rafa's response to the F.A. should be two words, the second of which is "off".
-
Wave white handkerchiefs at the match like the do in Spain when they're not happy with those running their club.

I get the impression some fans think NUFC should try and play swashbuckling, Keegan style football. When Keegan did that we had one of the best squads in the league and I'd say tactics, fitness, etc of all the teams have come along way since the 1990s. When Keegan returned and the squad wasn't as good he said the team couldn't compete (he got a bollocking off Mike Ashley for stating that fact). Not even Keegan could play good attacking football with the squad he had under Mike Ashley. The squad now is worse in quality (compared to the rest of the league) than it was in Keegan's second stint. An attacking manager may get the odd better result than Rafa with the same squad but they'd also get hammered a lot more. Rafa wins points he probably shouldn't against the better teams. Sometimes he doesn't get wins when they are expected. Averaged out over a season, with the squad available I'd think Rafa would get more points than the manager who went for it every game. Rafa is playing the hand he's been dealt. If you won't pay the money you won't get decent attacking players. Attacking players are usually a lot more expensive than defensive players. Mike Ashley has NUFC taking a knife to a gunfight.

More than likely. He probably rejected that offer as I doubt he fancied living in China.
-
That list makes it sound like he had a huge choice of offers but we don't know what they were actually offering him. Maybe they had clauses in the contract Ben Arfa didn't want to agree to? He was available on a 'free' transfer because he comes with 'baggage'. The offers he rejected could have been heavily weighted in the clubs favour to cover themselves in case e.g. Ben Arfa had a falling out with the manager. The wages offered might have been 'low'.

Is that not camouflage she's wearing? http://scriptshadow.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/gardenstate.jpg -
Haven't you found a Fulham forum to frequent now? I thought when Mitro transferred to another club so would you.
-
Professional sportsmen when they sign a contract the income is guaranteed for the length of that contract irregardless of whether they play or not. In American sports its slightly different as they have a guaranteed amount and an amount that's a total. The total is if the organization decides to keep them for the entire length ( the salary cap dictates this eventually) As far as footballers go its a short career so you need guaranteed income over length of contract. I suspect the mackems have broken the rules massively here and there will be an ensuing court case http://pjcaposey.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/irregardless-300x252.jpg
-
If it turns out in the long run that Rafa has made a mistake not keeping Mitrović then so have all the top league clubs. Only Fulham came in for him. All the top clubs will be kicking themselves for not buying Mitrović when he was available for only £22m (rising to £27m) if he ends up as good as some people think he'll be.

Tubestationatmidnight seems to expect Benitez to do a 'Thích Quảng Đức' style protest at how Mike Ashley runs NUFC. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Th%C3%ADch_Qu%E1%BA%A3ng_%C4%90%E1%BB%A9c

He's not going to the Sports Direct annual shareholder meeting. https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2018/sep/09/mike-ashley-sports-direct-investors-arent-happy-doesnt-have-to-care -
He broke into the first team and did very well over a couple of games. Looking back at the start of this thread it was August 2014 when he first made an impact. 'Big' clubs like Chelsea were supposed to be interested in him. NUFC signed him on a long term contract. He got a bad injury and he has never got back to the pre-injury level.
